The lack of action saw Swansea slip to fifth spot – but manager Roberto Martinez is aiming for a quick return to the top with the club hoping to rearrange the game for this Tuesday.

Swansea’s stars were put through their paces in a training session yesterday afternoon in preparation for a possible re-arranged game.

A bit too soon?

Yes, they should wait until after everything is over and the players have paid their respects. Swansea are scared they'll put a performance in for Michael.

Tuesday is far too soon, taking away even the grief of losing a team mate, you can't expect the lads or our fans to travel all the way to Swansea and back again in such a short time space.

Definitely too soon. At the very least they should leave it for a couple of weeks. I can understand Swansea's situation but a death is more important than a game of football.

The funeral should take place before the game, simple as that.

Spot on!

Wont be played on tuesday as there needs to be a certain amount of notice under FL rules for the game to be played. Something to do with security i think!

It shouldn't be a question though, It shouldn't have even crossed their minds to drag our emotional squad back to wales for a GAME of football !

Maybe the best thing we could do is get back into competative action take everybodys mind of the death. Give the hufc staff time to grieve afterwards we must remain focused. Give Micheal Maidens the proper send off he deserves, but life must go on and HUFC will go on.

Id rather wait a while like, The players will have just returned to the North East, they wont want to be leaving for this tuesday, and it doesnt give the fans much time to get there ?

There's no way the game was ever going to be this Tuesday. It's either the newspaper or Martinez talking crap.

I'd say a bit of both. Martinez apparantly said that on the BBC Wales football Sunday...

Anyhow, the players will need a while to be in an emotional state to play. They won't be 100% for Saturday, so Tuesday is way too soon.
