I didn't know about the unfortunate events of today till I finished work. I was picking the wife up off the train and put the radio on to find out more information. I naively tuned into BBC Tees . This piss poor, borocentric excuse for a 'local' radio station, prattled on and on and on and on about the borers, the 'game', the social events for the next week...TOTALLY BORO.
I tuned into TFM at 5.30 and the contrast from Jeff Winter could hardly have been greater and he put the entire thing into context.

I had the misfortune of listening to BBC Tees as well, with their witless whinging on about boro, and nothing else. If the people paying to see them leave after an hour, what makes them think anyone's going to sit and listen to a pair of bores talk about them on the radio? they even set up a 'BBC bus' outside the ground, for fans to drop in and give their opinions. They had the grand total of 3 people turn up and two of them were under 12.

Not a single mention of Michael Maidens until the classified results, which are syndicated anyway aren't they? truly shocking.

I don't recall them even naming him, didn't they just say a Hartlepool player? What infuriated me, was how they went on and on about forthcoming social events for Middlesbrough Football Club. How they have the nerve to promote themselves as local radio is lost on me... and it really is getting worse.

I didn't listen to BBC Tees but it seems they showed a lack of respect.

I've always felt that if you record football Saturday, you get ten times more coverage from Stelling on there than you do with them.

I went on Jeff's program last night I felt that I had to say something. It just brought back very sad memories of a friend of mine dying at a similar age many years ago.
