Just sat and watched V for vendetta. Seen it before but what a great film that is. You may disagree. but you would be wrong.

Just wondering any other films that you think stand out from the crowd? or that you would recommend?

Cagney fan eh? Yeah he's good.

I love old Hollywood films, though I'm a Mitchum fan meself.
Must-see films
- The Story of GI Joe
- Build my Gallows High
and one the most disturbing films ever and Robert Mitchum's best performance
- Night of the Hunter

If you haven't seen that last one yet, do so!

Quite a few of the ones already mentioned, with my favourite being 'One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest', wouldn't you have throttled Nurse Ratchet if she was stood outside the cinema as you came out.

Young Frankenstein
Dirty Harry

When we had the band together, we re-enacted the scene with Yossarian sitting naked in the tree at the funeral for a short film we did, with our roadie Freeway (the ONLY name for a roadie) playing Yossarian. So there he is sitting in the niff up this tree in Clumber Park and past came a woman walking her dog, well try as we might we couldn't keep our eyes on the ground and she followed our sightline up the tree.........

Clumber Park is famous for it's 'dogging' activities..........

I refuse to watch any film made in the US after 1960....any film starring ex sports stars... any film involving cars burning rubber..... any films starring musicians as 'actors'.... Monty Python is mildly amusing ... and I find Steve Martin, Robin Williams, Jim Carey and all their manic ilk as funny as a fire in an orphanage.

True, it's a funny fillum, but once he started with the parent type fillum he has been as funny as mass grave
