Snowy once told me (for reasons that were unclear at the time) that I was related to his wife. I hope she doesn't find proof of this. I might have to start inviting him round for Christmas dinner

Meeting living relatives has some interest, because they can talk back to you. The dead ones are a bit of a problem aren't they?

I think that's the attraction. And you don't need to ask them to Christmas dinner

My mother's maiden name was Franklin so I'm obviously related to the great Mr "key on a kite" Benjamin himself.
With bragging rights like that I don't need to delve any further.

Joking aside, every time I come across dumb yanks (wherever you go in the world there's always one) I just mention that I'm a Franklin and they go looney with awe and amazement.

Oh I wouldn't dream of inviting the living ones. A right bundle of laughs they all are. At least some of the dead ones were good crack, and you wouldn't have to give them so much to eat...

Depending upon their stage of decomposition you'll have PK back from China quicker than diahorrea through a baby.

The wifes nana and grandad looked up some of their living relatives a while back, they found some living in New Zealand so they decided to jump on a plane and knock on their door without any prior warning to someone who was apparently her grandads second cousin

I get a lot of mileage out that with our very thin and tenuous connection to the Wallaces of Braveheart fame. Now, about these corpses.................

According to my family tree we're solid cod head for generations, apart from the Irish element, which makes me one sixteenth Irish.... Our lass in her usual dry way then reeled off her pet name for me which is 'Bastid', some 15 times then added the new Irish section, the O'Bastids.

John O'Dawes was an Irish window fitter from round our way. Him and his missus were a nice couple, his wife was called Patty.
