from that quote dont think poundstratcher is one, but is waitrose. to be honest before i moved here i never heard of the place its basically like marks and spencer but posher as owned by john lewis group. its rubbish they charge you about 50p more for the same stuff you get in tesco.

i say tesco because were i live and surrounding area there are no Asda, Morrsions, Sainsburys, Somerfield, Aldi etc i guess its the Oxon life either go to planet Tesco or go with all the posh toffs to waitrose or that lovely little deli that charge you £8 for a block of cheese

Have to disagree with you there, Waitrose, in terms of quality and produce in miles away from Tesco

It depends how you interpret the grammar - I meant the ratio of luxury (Starbucks) compared with non-luxury (Poundstretcher types).

I don't think we'll ever see the likes of Waitrose in Hartlepool. However, we do have plenty of delicacies of our own - Morrells pies anyone? If a shop anywhere in the south east was knocking them out Rick Stein for one would be slurping the juice out of them on 'Food Heroes' or suchlike.

And what about pease pudding? It's like a form of homous. Hugh Furry-Shittingstool will be making that on River Cottage soon no doubt.

Marksys scran is lovely but a bit on the expensive side. Usually pop in pick up the 2 for 1's and special offers, cant afford to do my full weekly there.

Usually Tescos, though use Asda occasionally and Morrisons.
Generally I like shopping, not with the missus though, all the money goes on air freshners and cleaning products sctatchinghead

Shoppings alright, our rass hates it though. I take ages on my own because I'm looking at the pigs snouts, the entrails, the live toads, the dried pigs faces, fish heads, the edible shark skin, duck feet, fish stomachs, etc etc etc, as you have to.

The shop girls are tasty as well...

Larks' tongues. Wrens' livers. Chaffinch brains. Jaguars' earlobes. Wolf nipple chips. Get 'em while they're hot, they're lovely.

I cannot believe that the bunker, birthplace of irreverent and sardonic comment is reduced to discussions about personal preferences of supermarkets!
