As I expected. slag off anyone suggesting 4-4-2 or a big man etc but not able to give your own opinion.

Iv read your posts about formatiosn in general but never related to Pools or our players you think it should be built round.

Infact I cant remember many of your opinions on actual Pools players apart from raving about Ryan Donaldson being the next big thing due to one good turn on the Rink End byline.

OK just for you tree.

Its not easy to decide.

We have a very good attacking right back, but for me, a bang average left back.

So 4 3 3 is going to be difficult. If only we had Rob McKinnon.

I also wouldnt play Harewood. Infact I wouldnt have given him a contract. He may come good, and I hope he does, but I just dont get him.

We have two wide players in Compton and Franks, so I would do a Van Gaal on them and tell them they need to play as strikers.

So, for me it would still be 4 3 3.

And a team of:

Flinders

Duckworth
Bates
Austin
Holden

Miller?
Parnaby

walker

Franks
James
Compton

I like the look of that team also, think that would be a perfect position for Walker.

Was the place to be in the late 60s early 70s. Remember my parents going their once and couldn't get in cos it was so full.

Used to have one of the better county teams back in the day as well.

so did the league start last week then?

Just looked on the website and no updates, whatsoever.

Were the fixtures cancelled due to lack of interest?

Wouldn't has the hartlepool Sunday league site, always quite far behind.

Better to use the full time FA site for hartlepool Sunday league. Results are on soon as someone texts them in from both sides I believe

Oldest lad plays for Schooner. A few have left now, but he stayed as its easier for him as he will be back at Uni in October and misses most games.

The youngun has just signed for them also, but will only play when Greatham dont have a game, unless he enjoys it more.

I would rather the youngun didnt play to be honest. But junior football in Hartlepool is in a mess right now, at their age group, and isnt getting enough games, and they dont have enough lads interested in training.

Strange thing is, I think its a Hartlepool thing, as the friendlies they have played, the other teams had 19 players.

The kids in this town are fucking pathetic.

Anyone know why we pay pitch fees? The state if the grass on Grayfields yesterday was a joke. So the next time there cut the pitches will be full of grass cutting it was to long today.

Most would rather stay in there bedrooms and play on there xboxes until Friday and Saturday night the just go out and drink as much drink as they can as quickly as they can then just lay in bed on Sundays. I use to find once you played footy you were right as rain and no hangover anymore. 2 games this weekend I've had and sub in another one and I'm 42.

Mixture of both, we just didnt turn up and made a few errors. They where very clinical and seemed to score every chance they got.

We'll focus on the league now.

There is a Facebook page trying to get Sunday football banned due to Health and safety.

If all matches finish at the same time, there will be crushed bodies in the showers.

We've won 5 in 5 in league one, not sure if we are the strongest, all close matches, should be a tight league.

It was mate it was a blood bath, not a particularly dirty game, but a gash to the knee and 2 bad head injuries, all 3 injuries had to be treated at hospital.

I got a bust lip too, probably for the best the mrs said.

How's Sunday league doing these days? Had a season out and do miss it, considering getting back into it for next year like.
