Yes but he was up against Dixon, a trialist and 3 young lads. Plus we played 15 mins with 10 men.

We can all take friendly results with a pinch of salt but what it doesnt change was the midfield being overun yet again, bit of a lack of pace and any sort of creativity and the keeper situation is starting to become a joke.

Im shocked at what i witnessed tonight and i know its just a friendly before anyone gets on one so we have time to get things right but i was expecting to see a bit more than that tonight.

Poolie was the 1st half any good?

First 10 to 15 minutes played really well. Campbell looked good. But once Scarborough got a grip of the midfield that was it im afraid then it was just one way traffic.

If there is a lack of pace in midfield again that’s a concern !

As has been said , we can’t play a pressing game with featherstone in the team and 2 slow 33year + center backs, if Sarll doesn’t know that now he will by the end of August !

as good as our new CB pairing seem on paper and we know they can both do their job to some credible degree for this level. It may be too much for those 2 with this new style of play. Are we seeing Waterfalls injuries come to light now too. Is this rigour of the new training etc hampering him ? Id like to see a new CB in the first team thats for sure - someone with legs and who can battle.

You would hope Hunter does enough across the park along with Sheron to cover them but by the sounds of things - they aint the quickest of lads either. Feaths wont be anywhere near the starting 11 a dont think. Specially now the Irish lads in.

Charman is the worry - i really hope he isnt another sick note who we see maybe every 5 games for a bit. As some know who have seen him play hes a hell of a player and will really benefit our team should he find the same form he had at Fylde back end of last season !

Probably the end of the Yeovil game!

Even in the first half I thought we struggled, we had a few chances but didn't look like scoring. The pressing game DS says he wants to play was non existent and if I didn't know better I would have said Scarborough were the NL team and we were in the NLN.

There is a lot of work to be done in the next 3 weeks in my opinion, let's see if we get any more signings through the door!!

It’s suicide expecting Parkes and waterfall to press all the way to the oppo half, one long ball and we are done unless you expecting dodds to hang back who is one of the few players who can press which defeats the object
If we play this way it makes more sense to include Mani O who at least has a bit more pace.

It would also be nice if Sarll provided an updated on the currently injured players. He will soon find out that Pools fans absolutely hate the cloak and dagger 'hush hush' stuff.

Was the injury assessment provided by Sarll in his post match Scarborough interview not sufficient enough for you?

Sorry teech, I must have missed that bit - I will pay more attention next time

Don,t think Waterfall,Parkes should be on the same training program as the others either.
