Yes but we had a great 2nd chance we were back in the football league, great manager , great crowds, some half decent players, who decided from that day to get rid of anyone and everyone? Can only be one man. We could now be in an even worse place than when he took over. We have a team falling apart at the seams some 6 to 8 points from the bottom of the conference, he did a great thing saving us no one can deny that, but since that day at bristol this guy has been an utter disaster at running this club, terribke decision after terrible decision and it didnt need to be like this. He could of built on what we had and maybe he might of seen more seasons of 800k profits, what he has done since probobly hasnt done himself many favours either.

So how much does all that income money add up to……?

An 875 k profit i would think, going by the accounts for that season.

Do you seriously think Raj has told the Trust what his price is? Why would he when he knows they haven't got the cash to buy him out? He's said he'll only talk to people with the wherewithal to keep the club going and try to improve us.
Don't think he did say American stuff was rubbish, think he said there were no serious talks or offer.
Morecambes budget may have been the 2nd lowest but it was competitive wasn't it, they got promoted? None of us know what the budgets are or have been previously, so to call him out over finances is ridiculous.
Don't know about him stating Hartley was first choice, but would seem unlikely given the time it took to bring a manager in.
There may be slight nuances between what he's said and people's perceptions of what he said, but shrewd businessmen generally succeed by being consummate public liars.
Don't disagree that he's been at the helm of 2 basket case clubs in bad times, but don't think anything he's done has been in bad faith. Why would he want to lose his own money?

Excellent, but going by your ‘I would think’ indicates you’re not really sure, but for now we’ll overlook that.
Which leads to the question any accountant would ask, namely, what are the total financial.outgoings…?

Incomings without outgoings is a finacncial cul de sac.

Why would anyone climb up a mountain to throw themselves off.
The ‘great manager’ was off for more money regardless, good manager poor PR skills.

You don’t tell lies when you do accounts, when I submitted my figures to my accountant he signed a disclaimer to say the figures he was presenting to HMTC were from the information I gave him.

6 points of relegation, but only 5 off play offs.
Disastrous decisions can't be argued with Hartley and Curle, both on long term contracts along with their sidekicks must have cost a Bob or two.
Getting rid of players can only be one man, hardly when it was obvious that Hartley wanted his own players in the side. He even moved Sweeney away from the first team picture!
Many of the players wanted to leave, now we don't know how much we offered or how much others offered, but maybe we'd reached our limit. Oates signed for Mansfield before the play off final to ensure div 2 football, Armstrong was never ours to keep, Timi wanted more cash that we wouldn't or couldn't give him as did Molyneux.

So i think we can all agree we made a 875k profit that season then? i know quite a few want to play it down, because it doesnt fit in with pools must always be a loss maker.

Exactly, but that’s not answering my question, what are pools figures……?

No one’s playing it down, we just need income and outgoing figures to confirm either viewpoint, it’s basic accounting…not rocket science….once I have the ‘proof’ I can quickly draw my own conclusion.

Weren't we top of the league in August? A snapshot is just that, its where we are over the season that counts.
Similarly to say we had 1 profit making year in the 5 or 6 since Raj took over. It's the overall profit / loss over his tenure that gives the full picture.
And what would have happened if he'd given Hartley or Curle a big chunk of that profit? We'd probably have the Clackmacuddock Reserve squad on 5 year deals.

If i remember rightly, Raj stated he had never heard of Hartley, So who appointed him.
Because the one thing i do know is an appointment of that impotance would most certainly
Would need his approval.

Unless of course Raj is trying to be clever with the english language.

I don't really care what the Trust has to say, they have absolutely zero input into the running of the club, although they'd like to be represented on the board.
They are not in possession of the details of the club finances or any debt that Raj and others may want paid off by a new owner.
I prefer to take note of what the man on charge says by way of official statements, anything else is just opinions, recollections of meetings, and guesswork. Unless of course they're releasing the agreed minutes of the meeting?
I'm sure if Raj was willing to walk away without a penny then he would have put that in the public domain to attract a new owner.

Raj said in an official statement that nobody had cone up with proof of funds to keep the club going for a season. If this nysterious consortium were put off by that price then good!

If what others say or are told by the Raj and the HUST are liers, Then no matter what myself or anyone says has zero value to you.

And i,m certain if they(HUST) had miss understood, Raj would have taken pleasure in relating that fact to us all.

Chris Turner and Neale Cooper were gambles both had no English League managerial experience, Hartley as well unfortunately he signed the wrong players. Some gambles you win when appointing managers others you get wrong.

Fact is, till someone comes up with verifiable accounts it’s whistling in the wind.

Reports of …..‘I understand’ ..’I think’ …. ‘ Someone said’…. or ‘surely it must have’ ….are indications of knowing nothing at all but hoping for the worst.

I feel like the sheriff looking at the body, there’s a man stood there near the body and a group, pointing the finger at the man saying we know it’s him, but we didn’t actually see anything, but it’s him alright.
I might be inclined to agree, but get me the evidence.

They have zero input yet they are the ones now trying to put a consortium together of local businessman. They have asked to see the finances, which raj will show them if he genuinely wants to sell the club to the people interested, or we are going to have serious issues.

Raj is not walking away without a penny, all he is saying is to help the club move forward, he is willing to move the debt back, so he doesnt want anyrhing immediately but he will in future.

If what others say or are told by the Raj and the HUST are liers, Then no matter what myself or anyone says has zero value to you.

And i,m certain if they(HUST) had miss understood, Raj would have taken pleasure in relating that fact to us all.

Everyone is a liar barring raj i think thats the main gist of it. So basically what were saying if the chairman of hartlepool united speaks its all gospel. Anyone remember gary coxhall?

No one’s a liar….it’s all speculation and no one can give a definitive answer.
It’s called a stalemate.

I’m not disputing anything, but we aren’t in their loop are we, so we still know nothing.

PTID is somehow affiliated to Raj. I know Derwent, Snowy and others are defensive of Raj. Their motivated is love of HUFC. Totally get it and respect it. PTID, can't read that one. Trying too hard I think.

I appreciate what you’re saying, but I’d actually like to see a change, my real care is to hold the fabric of my club intact till the cavalry arrives.
Can’t speak for anyone else however.

No affiliation whatsoever apart from to Pools of course.
Just think it's wrong to continually slate the fellow and call him a liar when we don't have sufficient details to know if he's lied or not.
I'll be pleased when his tenure is over, but
hopefully he stays long enough to hand us over to the next owners in decent shape.

Go you not think if Raj walks in January and then demands his money back as he did at Darlington then he has used the Trust as scapegoats and will be saying I gave them the chance to bring in new owners and they have let us all down. Remember it is never Raj's fault and always blames other people. If there are enquiries about the club at least deal with them in a business like manner and with respect.

Fair comment but I think you're faith in the owner is a little bit on the blind side.

Think there is a very good chance that could happen going on past form.

I suspect if he was gonna ‘jump ship’ it would have been well before now, he’s been here several years not like Darlo where he had a ‘brief encounter’ and no one was rushing to give Darlo the kiss of life and he found out why!
I thinks with any owner it’s down to the manager you employ but most importantly who advises the owner, because personally if I bought the club tomorrow after winning mega millions, I’d need advice on the playing side, the maths I can deal with.
Hit gold with Challinor till the big money came along, Lee sounds like a bit of advice from ‘advisers’ to me to bring in an ex player to steady the ship and pacify the natives…. My opinion of the appointment is on the board, then We Jock McCock up…..everyone dies responsibility for that epic…Curle, seemed to tick all the boxes but sounded tires from day one, then Askey…..but Raj saying he’s not leaving may be because he knows something we don’t and has chosen sides.
One thing we aren’t short of is intrigue.

If you win the Lottery matey.
Look no further than KPG for the advisory role on recruitment.
The new dream team.
The next Luton Town style Revival is in waiting.

You’re on my list Kev, but I’m keeping you on a short lead for the interviews.
We’ll need someone to ask the awkward questions, so you can sit next to Ratboy

Think Ratboy would make a better advisor to the board than some that are presently in the role.

Actually, I kid you not, he was trained to kill foxes by biting their Crown Jewels while his sister came in from the opposite end, so his place at the interview table would encourage clear thoughts from all Party’s involved and consequences of not giving 150% effort.
He’d do, it for a Bonio too.

Its sort of playing out a bit like the darlo one. We just got to hope it doesnt head the same way. But you get the feeling after he has blamed the council, blamed previous managers, blamed the fans that hust will be next in the firing line.

Every chairman we’ve had has done that apart from Harold….and apart from HUST

He's every right to blame the managers he employed them to do a job which they clearly didn't do. It's called delegating responsibility. If you bought a new house from Barrats and the plumbing leaked like a seive would you hound the CEO or get onto the onside reps.
What has he blamed the fans or trust for, have I missed something?
