Exactly…but the losers have also shown what they can do if they put their minds to it.

Over to you Raj. Let him bring in some quality.

He wont though yet fans blindly then believe its down to managers. What next tony sweeney takes over does well for 5 games, then 1 or 2 injuries and then we all want him out?

Does Raj give of some damp gas of hopelessness and rejoices in failure, seriously were you criticising him when we got promoted…. He’s made mistakes, who doesn’t, but this obsession that everything will be some joyous Nirvana if he sails into the sunset is borderline obsession.
You talk as though only visionaries with the god given gift of insight can see the king has no clothes in the case of Raj……
If he went and no one came in would you be happy to start again from the bottom, the triumph of naive masochism over common sense.

He sticks with the same players, as that's all he has. A change of manager, changes nothing - but means you then have another couple of staff to pay off - and we throw all the cards up in the air again.

The players need to know that Askey is in charge regardless - and if they don't or can't shape up, it will be them seeking alternative employment.

No he certainly wasnt criticised he showed a tiny bit of ambition and look what happened the club took off briefly. If he goes and we start off from the bottom im sure you realise snowy if we go down this year we are actually not far from the bottom, we would be 2 leagues above stockton town possibly 1 thats how low were sinking. Our derby games next year could possibly be spennymoor and blyth.

Exactly who is he going to change them for? Worse players who will get battered week in week out?

Right he's not investing in better players and he's not looking like going so where do we go from there. What do you propose we do.

Personally i think its getting to the point he is hit in the pocket, im starting to get tempted to jack it in until the guy is gone. Might be drastic but we are sinking like the titanic.

Hitting the club's revenue could bite us in the arse though if Raj responds by further cost cutting to cover the shortfall.

If he withdraws finance, We will go down quicker than the Titanic.

If anyone believes otherwise then they are wearing rose tinted glasses.

You said that when Wee Jock Hartley was appointed even before he signed anyone….. Titanic has a slight list but still afloat.

Exactly Mr Derwent, the apparent solution in their world is so straightforward…..it’s for Raj to leave and sell it to the anxious millionaire’s waiting outside of the Vic, lined up in their Roll’s to take over throwing skips of money at the team unless …… ,passing Hollywood Stars heading for Morrison’s decide to make a documentary film of life at the Vic.
It’s just so simple and easy but puzzling why it’s not happened.
Meanwhile back in the real world…… yawn1

So this is plan B, the Kamikaze option…You’d actually be happy to drop down the pyramid to just to be rid of Raj sctatchinghead ..sorry can’t take that seriously….what happens then…..? do we then rise up the league… unbelievable….

I didnt say that i think he will take us there himself . Either this year or next i can only see us going one way. If we did go down again i then believe the backlash on him would make him go anyway.

Back in the real world clubs in our league are being taken over and yet we quite happily let someone destroy another football club, his second by the way.

I know we've got players who have played at a higher level but how many times have we had players like this whose ability has clearly dropped lower than what we need? Loads. I think we have some of those now. We beat Dagenham yes but even a relegation side wins occasionally.... and we are winning very occasionally.

Askey got York City promoted out of the NLN only 2 seasons ago so suggestions that he's past it are a bit odd. There's a big question now though - whether he can do any more with this team? What he thinks of the players he's got is obvious from the fact that he's brought 3 in on short-term deals in the last few weeks and they've all gone straight into the first 11. There's probably quite a few in the squad he'd like to see the back of, but he - or someone else - is stuck with them till the end of the season.

Haven't seen any highlights yet but listening to it on the radio it sounded like another two examples of piss poor defending to add to the collection. 3 points chucked away with 10 minutes left on the clock!

Despite the injuries excuses there should of been enuf in JAs think tank plan B C to not get outclassed by Chester n not make the 1st round of the FA Cup for the first time in our history.
Unbudgeted income = zero not helping his cause.
No way is that down to Hartley/Curle.
Getting well bored of that dislikable excuse.

His first was destroyed by George Reynolds, when he got it it was a basket case, but most Darlo fans thought George was the bee’s knee’s ….but they apparently couldn’t blame the man they backed could they.
The whole thing was the result of George’s ambition and commercial reality.
In the real world clubs are being taken over, but not Pools… I somehow doubt Raj is hanging about out of spite, unless you know better.

Not really strange at all, far from it…...to Man U fans with their entitled egos, being in the Championship would be utterly humiliating for the them to endure.

Newcastle, Everton, Man Utd all attractive clubs to buyers took or are taking ages to change hands.
We're a club who nobody but Raj wanted, yet some of our fans think a takeover should happen at the drop of a hat. Unbelievable.
What people need to understand is that Raj is better than administration, being in this league is far better than doing a Darlington. If someone comes along and offers what Raj wants, and can do better then great, in the meantime we have to keep the faith. Doesn't mean we like or want Raj to stay, it's simply reality.

Trouble is if you accept the status quo you’re classed as a Raj lover….we are where we are, ….we have no choice, so you either face up to reality and hope for the best,…… the rest is for the birds.

We the Bunker are well under 1% of our fan base.
So cant imagine our varied views have any impact on the green grass.

Apparently there have been interested buyers

Raj said the weren't serious

Is he asking too much?

If he was serious about selling and is fed up putting money into Pools, then why are his companies on the front of the shirt?

Why not chase external revenue to help the club?

I don't think Raj is serious about selling up. He loves the ego trip of telling people he owns a football club.

So as far as I'm concerned, my money stays in my pocket until he's gone. Shirts, tickets, merchandise the lot.

Letting Raj run pools like this is like the slow death.

Ashley had his companies logos on shirts and named the stadium after them, it stayed that way until after the sale.
Raj said he'd keep the club going until a sale is agreed, so he's helping do that through sponsorship, surely that's win win?
Why would he keep putting his cash into a failing venture if he didn't want and expect better? Why would any successful businessman do that?

Right everyone, you can't talk about Pools or anything else if you can't affect it. Shut the hell up and accept it. That includes football players, you can't talk about them because you're never going to replace them on the pitch. Politicians too. Shurrup, doff your cap and know your place.

Some think both are shit.

Impossible for both to be ellish otherwise we wudent be shit.

It certainly could i agree its a risk but at what point do people say enoughs enough. I know it’s not for everyone but personally im getting to that stage. I guess if were relegated again that stance ve a bit easier to stomach for some.

No, you did say that …unless my comprehension classes at school, were wasted.

I said if were relegated again. Its still a big if even with these losers.

We have already been told the hollywood lot were interested, we were told by stelling a bid of some sorts also went in. Matt ugla who went to york also looked at pools, as did a local company so to say were not getting interest is well wide of the mark. Lets also remember in over 100 years we have pretty much also always had an owner good or bad. I always believe someone somewhere wants a football club and until we go pop id keep believing that.

Winning a match the doubters are restrained in their praise? Why do you think that is snowy? Has it something to do with the fact we Unfortunately we normally follow it by 4 or 5 losses and a cup exit to a team struggling to stay in the conference north who hadnt won away. I think this is why the pitchforks are out, not to mention the fact most of our team dont seem to bothered about the situation they are putting us in. Relegation, 1 clean sheet in about 35 games, a manager thats won the league now looking hapless, a forward that a year ago looked like he would rip this league up, cant even face the right way to goal.

Im all for praising the team when they are consistent, they got plenty of praise first few games after barnet but why should we bull this lot up? Wait till the york game, when half the crowds pissed up then it could get a bit nasty.

Right everyone, you can't talk about Pools or anything else if you can't affect it. Shut the hell up and accept it. That includes football players, you can't talk about them because you're never going to replace them on the pitch. Politicians too. Shurrup, doff your cap and know your place.

Snowy, please don't lapse into last year's pattern. You bizarrely defended some millionaire bloke you don't even know against fellow Poolies who love Pools as well as you and were expressing genuine concerns (and as it turns out well founded ones).

So why would people be so Raj leaning? Don't see anyone better coming along? Scared hell get upset and make the club go pop?

What a depressing existence for our football club when others prosper even without being a Stockport or a Wrexham. So this is what we have to put up with forever because we're Hartlepool and so are always going to struggle because of who we are. It echoes the irrational apathy which shrouds the town. Bloody nonsense wet-lettucery. And no Jamie, I don't expect IOR back for the umpteenth time.

Anyway on Askey. I say let the season unfold, keep him, he has players returning from injury. Next season he has ALL of Rajs budget (for good or for ill) to use on players he wants, none of it will be taken up by legacy players. See what happens then.

The only pattern here is your obsession with Raj.
ALL will be well when he goes is your mantra and that’s it, end of story.
As for lapsing into anything, you mean getting bored again with the same old line being churned out ad nauseum?.
I ‘lapse’ into nothing because my opinion is the same as it was then.
Get used to it.

If Raj was as rich as what you are spouting Snowy, then the club would have little problem. Obsession? Well I do care about the people and things I love and the factors that affect their welfare so of that is obsession then I'm guilty as charged.

I suggest if you are getting flack, your nav is rubbish. Sack him.

I don't think I ever said that we haven't had Interest, but interest and bids mean nothing if they don't turn into deals. So nobody has been interested enough to actually buy the club, and evidently it doesn't look like there's a crush of credible buyers to meet Raj's valuation.
And to suggest were in a death spiral as long as Raj is in charge doesn't mean it's going to happen. Wasn't he in charge when we got promoted last time, and we didn't have the best of starts to the promotion season as I recall.
I don't think any of us accept that we're to be a perennial struggling club and that would include the bloke who's bankrolling us. Hopefully a white night will be charging over the horizon soon but I won't hold my breath.
Meanwhile I'll keep hoping we can turn a corner and start looking like the team that started the season.

actually every lower league club have their day which follows after a few seasons going into the doldrums once again. pools have had there,s and feel will have again but how long will it take is the question we all would like to know. the wrexhams and stockports of this world had better enjoy the present era they are in. if their owners get bored they,ll quickly drop like stones again. nothing in the game lasts forever both the good and the bad.

Lets get this straight IF Ryan Reynolds had wanted pools, He would have gotten pools.
Does anybody seriously think he would just give up (people like him DON,T give up) and walk away.
Some on here need to grow up and stop watching reality TV.

If Raj ( And no i,m not sticking up for him) had NOT stepped in we would more than likely
Have been playing in the NLge, As some are suggesting thats where we are heading anyway.

The thing is though for 2 years now we have been on a kamikaze mission, briefly halted at the start of this season, but it shows no sign of a change around. We are showing relegation form, for this club to go down another league would be an utter disaster. We had plenty of warnings as to what would happen last season, we did very little to stop it, its like deja vu this season but in a far weaker league. Can this lot keep us up? If desurewe gets injured we are stuffed.

Man Utd fans boycotted the club because of the Glaziers, they even started another club FC United. The Glaziers are still there and are hanging on to squeeze the last penny before they go. The fans of one of the biggest clubs in the World haven't been able to get rid, unless it is on the owners terms but some fans of Pools keep banging away at it. I don't think there is going to be a happy ending to their crusade but when it actually does go tits up they will eliminate themselves from any responsibility. I sincerely hope it doesn't happen but..............

So basically your going to blame the fans? Two or three on a message board will take the rap for the club going tits up? Nowt to do with the actual people in charge. If it wasnt for a few people outing coxall we would of gone tits up before raj took over.

Now im not saying raj is a coxall but concerns were raised about coxall and it forced his hand a lot sooner than maybe it normally would of done.

If someone who Raj deems suitable comes up with his asking price I'm sure he'll sell until then he's said he'll continue to keep the club going. In recent weeks we've brought in new players albeit on loan, but it looks like he's still supporting the manager.
Would you accept an offer on your house for anything lower than what you valued it at, and would you not fix the broken boiler because the house was for sale or would you keep up the maintenance?
Raj is damned by some regardless, if he stays he's hounded, if he walked tomorrow and left us in the lurch it would be worse.
All we can do is keep supporting our club and hope things turn around again soon.
