Er obviously, but how many other clubs at our level have cash heavy sugar daddies….not that I’d turn one down, but where are they?

even with ones more reach a certain level and never push on from that. harrogate, salford, forest green to name just three without looking plus those who had it and pissed it up.

Stockport and Wrexham have been the two standout winners on the takeover stakes and it turns out unfortunately for us that it was Stockport who got benefit at our expense…and before anyone says we should have offered more, he was going and most clubs couldn’t have competed anyway…… but it appears Harrogate, Salford and Forest Green appear to be consolidating, in other words the bountiful owners have probably decided that they’ve spent enough or lost interest and things are ticking over, but for most clubs the arrival of a proper benefactor is a pipe dream.

If it was the other way round they had raj and we had their chairman, would challinor of been so keen to move closer to home? I highly doubt it.

Of course he would, he probably trebled his salary and a signing on fee with no travelling over the M62 every week a couple of times.

He wouldnt of got treble the salary if raj was stockport chairman and we had the pots of cash. He would of stayed put. He followed the money.

honestly i would not blame him for that even if he had been an ex player and fan. if only people would admit it was the reason to move they,d be looked at in a better light from me. lots will dig up any other single excuse for moving but the real one as if the fans they sre speaking to have never done the same.

But it wasn’t the other way around was it…let’s stick to how it was…more money for Challinor and closer to home, no brainer…we don’t have that sort of money.
I’m not bothered about him going we should be used to it, because this was understandable if he’d just come out and explained but he didn,t…it wasn’t him going, it was the nature of his going.

BUT WE DIDN’T HAVE THE MONEY! This is surreal, he was off, get used to it and stop creating these ‘if only’ scenarios.

Getting back to the original topic. In the next 10 years or less I can see the likes of Harrogate, Forest Green, Fleetwood, Salford, Morecambe etc returning to their rightful places in the national league or lower.
For Hartlepool to get back to their rightful place (in league 2) we need an amendment to the national league whereas 4 teams are promoted. 3 automatically and one through the play offs. Until this happens, unless a rich businessman who has pots of money to squander comes along we’re staying where we are.

just do not get that at the moment and how the game has changed that pools have this god given right or their rightful place is division 2. more promotions gives it a bigger chance of similar historic league clubs joining us and more bromleys and wokings gaining league status.

I overheard a Sheffield Wed fan say that at Cardiff, there back where they belong now, huge supported club but can never seem to be consistent.

I don’t wish to be churlish…… but I really don’t give a Kangaroo’s love length about South Shield’s prospects. It really does mean nothing to me

Oh Vienna.
