Tbh it’s prob generational as a lot of us didn’t grow up with it, I hope they do well, and think it’s great if they can inspire younger folk
And girls to get into it, but hand on heart I don’t really give a shit about it, and would feel fake pretending to.
Only exception is Jordan Nobbs….which is again because I remember her dad playing when I was a kid so have some affinity to that.

As I have said before, I dont begrudge the women their success. I just cant stand the BBC's abject hyping and social engineering agenda.

The BBC are pumping hot air into an HGV tyre when enough air for a bike tyre is all it warrants.

Who were the opposition? I presume they were a top side.

China - last year's Women's Asian Cup champions. They beat Japan in the semis on penalties and South Korea in the final, so at their best they're a pretty decent side. Japan stuffed Spain 4-0 the other day
By any standards a 6-1 win is not to be sniffed at.
England played some delightful stuff: precise, perfectly weighted, incisive passes, excellent finishing and, just so it wasn't all "nice" some thunderous tackles from Millie Bright.
I suspect it was one of those days when everything just clicked into place (Pools 8 Grimsby0...or was it 1?) and there are no guarantees it will be repeated.

So they were tha Asian Cup Champions? Ok so I guess it was the equivalent of England men beating Brazil 6-0. Righto, that explains why it was the headline story on BBC TV National News. No hype involved at all.

"Ok so I guess it was the equivalent of England men beating Brazil 6-0 "
??? Who's suggested that?
