Harrogate back in the relegation mix now as well. Fantastic afternoon, I think Kemp may just be our best loan player ever.

Such a short space of time and this manager has transformed us in to a team who looks like they are going for promotion. Just can’t believe it

what a performance, scoreline maybe slightly flattering but who really cares

Ratings

Keeper - 8 Some really good savaes
Sterry 7 Hope he is fit for Monday
Ferguson 8 - best perfomance all season from him and v committed

Murray - 7 continues to improve--struggled against their big cfwd 2nd half but stuck at it
Dodds 7 - proper athlete and footballer
Pruti 7 good again

Feather 8 Excellent game does what he does very well
COoke 7 sold
Kemp 9 MOM.....shouldnt be anywhere near playing at this level

Umerah 7 Quiet but kept at it and goal was deserved
Jennings 8 excellent-link up with Ferguson in 1st half especially was very good

Mcdonald...blew game open in first 10 mins he was on proper player when releases the ball
Foran - really like his character did well when he came on

Lets hope Umerah, Sterry and Sylla all somehow get fit for Monday--by far most enjoyable hame of season

I think relegation will be Rochdale & Harrogate or Colchester. Pools and Crawley look like they are both going to overtake those teams.

Wow didn't see that coming!!!!
That's two wins of the six we needed from the last 8 games. Down to 4 wins from 6 which is certainly do-able. Roll on Monday and what should be a full house.

What a result today. It doesn't quite make up for a season of misery but nearly. Isn't it amazing that the same squad of players are looking so much better with a manager who knows what he is doing. Over the moon, me, like.

I doubt he'll replace Jan Ove Pedersen in the memories of older fans but Dan Kemp has been fantastic. Doubt we'll ever see a better goal return in so few games from a loan player.

There were no weak links anywhere in the side. Great to see Nicky Featherstone come back in and have an excellent game in what is probably his last season at Pools. To listen to the Featherstone haters you'd think he was the only player who struggled in Keith Curle's mess of team selection and tactics.

Still hope Mo is back for 'orrible Stevenage on Monday though.

Sterry going off is not a good sign. I know Dodds is a mint Right back but then that disrupts the rest of the defence. Fingers crossed sterry is OK.

I thought on another day they coudl have had a couple more--lot of pinball in our box late 1st half and after they equalized.....that being said their goal was borderline offside.

Best result of season--lets hope lads rest up for Monday now and we go again

Brilliant performance and even better result but I have to mention the totally inept officials in control of the game. This happens week in and week out. I can envisage a scenario where a manager takes his players off due to the inconsistent behaviour/ performance of referees and linesmen. Not good enough in my opinion and needs addressing.

Kemp is a brilliant player even more so when you consider he is a loan player bur the best ever loan player was Jan ove pederson.

Kemp reminds me a bit of Paul Dalton in his last season for us, seems to have more time and composure than anyone else on the pitch when he gets the ball in the box

V interested to see where he ends up next season--my guess would be Gillingham if they are pushing the boat out properly for direct promotion.

Brilliant atmosphere today, loved every second of it as we don't get days like this too often. The players all came over at the end for a good 5-10 mins.

absolute magic. lets have more of it. best away performance since we hammered morecambe 5-1 a few years back. the hardest job to do yesterday was for eddie kyle to pick the man of the match. what a difference to that joke side and manager that lost the first 2 abeay games of the season 4 nil. the confidence in the whole team looks sky high at the moment and if i was another side i would not fancy playing pools at the moment. the only downside might be if that confidence does drain if we lose shortly.

No wonder York fans love Askey. He comes across in interviews as a mild considered guy. Whatever he is, the players certainly relate to him. Long May it continue. Keep us up and you deserve the freedom of Hartlepool.
Definitely will go down as a legend.
