So Carver has already been written off! How do you guys know so much better than Spike and his team? Give the bloke a chance!

Sutton are renowned for controlling the game and playing it their way, it’s their trademark.
Physical, closing down at speed and generally turning any game into a borefest, not forgetting their extensive repertoire of tricks and slowing a game down.
Would you want Pools to play like that...no thanks.
As for Carver, words fail me......GIVE THE LAD A CHANCE ffs.

"Not sure Carver will be here past the end of the season either. I know he was a sub and had to try and get something off the big lads behind him but dear me his touch, positioning. All off. Need better off the bench for next season.".....

"Feaths doesnt have another season in him at this level im afraid. His level is defintely in the lower leagues now as he showed last season"....

"this has absolutely nothing to do with Raj giving a young manager a chance - he was quite easily the cheapest and only option left. Also the assistant wasnt even in work so that wasnt very hard was it. Genuinely thought with the severance package we received from the snake we would appoint an experienced decent manager. X-Mas ruined !" ....

....ffs.....dont know which one of these gems i like the best...... hignett's postage stamp quality...

or look at it the other way round and say what did spike and his team see in him that other teams did not. if he had been a 21 year old i could understand the gamble of full time training with better players around him. at carvers age you need to be more or less up and running from day 1 even if you know you are not going to get 90 minutes out of him till his fitness improves.

wonder how many other teams have said the same and got beat. like tranmere before them it shows you do not need to be worldbeaters in this league to get near the top. think many would have taken a point before the game started against a side that have always given pools problems. just think where pools could have been if the season had started with the present squad.

You might be right, but we thought Pools were better than Sutton last season and they ended up winning the league. We think we're better now but they've still got 10 more points than us. And we never seem to be able to beat the buggers!

Agree 100%. Some people will never learn that rushing to judgement often ends up looking stupid. Tom Crawford (for one) looked fairly hopeless for a big part of last season, when he was only making the odd appearance here and there. He's a different player after a run of games in the side.

Dear me, moaning about Carver after the lad was brought on to affectively play wide left! He's an out and out striker and I read Southport fans saying don't waste him out wide. Can hardly make judgements on the lad after that and the amount of game time he's had. Give him a chance!

He might get his chance to do that on Tuesday night. Omar Bogle looked to be carrying a knock yesterday; he was limping a couple of times.

I remember the interview on Radio Tess with the local sport# reporter and he couldn’t emphasise strongly enough he HAD to be played in the middle and never out wide.

"dear me his touch, positioning. All off. Need better off the bench for next season.".....

carver is an out out no 9 .....could play central off bogle...but when he signed we were warned by phil kinsella radio merseyside ...who has seen a lot of him in recent years....that the signing was "certainly not a gamble"...as long as he was played in his position ... not out wide... which he was when he came on as sub yesterday for 20 minutes for his home debut.....expected the raj haters and mill house moaners [out in force yesterday first half by the way] and the usual clowns on here would be on his back....but this early ??... 20 minutes and one full game when he wasn't even fit....ffs give the lad a bloody chance........... absolutely ridiculous....

Sounds like you must have seen the same mad fecker in the front row of the seats on his feet yelling abuse 5 minutes after kick off

My theory is the worst are fat blokes who believe they were good enough to play at Pools' level in their younger days, if only they'd had the chance...

Are you for real? Folk are having discussions - arguments - whatever - but you have to arrive, slaying all before you, because you, and only you, know everything. Your moniker reflects your ego.

A good point against one of the better teams in the league. They played some good stuff first half. We did well to get back into it and we're the better team second half.

I liked the way Carver came back late on in the game and basically 'knacked' that Sutton forward in the corner of the pitch, gave him a taste of what he'd been dishing out himself all game.
Not in a vicious way I should point out, just nudged him in the solar plexus with a body check.

Seems to have serious problems with the idea of a message board that have different opinions does poolie1. I notice raj having a pop at the council on Saturday about the ground, think we could of saved raj 2 years on that issue.

Sure does - not allowed to have an opinion or view on anything no matter how trivial it may seem. We have all watched Pools for a long time, put money into the club and come on here for a rant or discussion. its what message boards and forums are all about

I think poolie 1 forgets that a vast amount of money comes from the fans and not just rajs pockets.

Let’s be honest with ourselves, there’s times we ALL think we’re right and get a bit miffed when challenged. Sometimes it pays to pause.
