It’s Harrogate, not Barcelona a few quid more and Betty’s vouchers more like.

The ref controlled the game well but was too lenient with the yellow cards. Tranmere got away with a lot of professional fouls when Pools were breaking out of defence, otherwise they'd have had even more to worry about.

Her lack of cautions for them in the first half spoilt her game that was compounded by white getting the games first caution after what they got away with. Nice to see the lino getting involved also which was possibly down to her pre match instructions. Think it annoys everyone when they act like some sunday league club lino instead of being allowed to earn their money.

Their ‘style’ of play was very similar to Barrow’s, but not as good. I saw nothing last night that said 2nd top. They were bang average .

saw nothing at their place either to think they,d be above pools in the league never mind hitting form to be second. last night was justice for that early season game.

Agree Mr Accy, she was very weak and allowed Tranmere to get away with murder. If she continues in this manner then somebody is going to get seriously hurt. She needs to send the message out right from the start and not wait until the final throes of the game. Bogle was "dealt" with four or five times in the first twenty minutes but she just ignored it. The comments around me were not complimentary and not just from blokes. Out of her depth. Other than that she tended to blow her whistle at the right time.
I sometimes wonder if refs like that ever scrutinize the video of the games they officiate.

She did quite well in the NL last season but like many before her this could be a step too far. You can know the laws of the game backwards and sideways but this does not guarentee you will make it. She looked like a rabbit in the headlights and knew she had to caution somebody sometime and ended picking on a kid who had not been on the pitch long. Do know that some do scrutinize the match videos but have a feeling its more of trying to prove they were right rather than a learning experiance from their mistakes. You cannot be told so many times that you and your assistants are the most important team out there without actually end up believing it.

My post from immediately after the game didnt go on for some reason....

Anyways what an absolute immense game we played last night - Tranmere played with decent pressing and fast movement on and off the ball, the reason why they are where they are is they deal with the poor teams in this league who cant handle that sort of play. We looked like conceding from the first 15 mins of play, but that just shows how good of a team and formation we are just now. Had we encountered that say just after X-Mas we unfortunately would of lost.

I have to give credit to every man on the Pitch - there rightly so was no weak links last night and hasnt been the last 3 games (hence why we have won them). Everybody is playing for a place in the side which now shows as Spike said, you have a bad game then there is a man in your shadow ready to take that place which i think has made the team perform better.

The midfield 3 are amazing - Feaths was Feaths and did his job comfortably although a few itchy mistakes the tactics kept things right around him with Morris mopping up. Joe Grey knew his job well and the homework was done on their team - their RB was quick and skillful but was dealt with all game by Ferguson and Grey. Having his young legs work that side of the pitch is paying dividends. Morris i cant heap his praises enough the lad is outstanding - White is also a Baller and a joy to watch. His eye for a pass is class and hes a few steps infront all the time. He has the same impact and nice on the eye footballing skills Sterry had we he entered the fold - shows the kids being schooled by Prem coaches.

Killip with a fine save aswell he did no wrong last night (maybe a little fumble when trying to punch the ball out but ill let him off as i think it was impedance by their man)

Bogle aswell - how good is this man - his touch is awesome and holdup play is something else. He looked leggy at the end but i think he had been kicked all over the park last night. I could see Nels maybe giving the instruction as to not bring Carver on as i think that would of been him sidelined again as would of been a tough game for him to come onto as they would of kicked him across the park also.

the Ref - ill say no more banghead

roll on Saturday which i think we will see another 3 points - flying with confidence now.

Its gone from expecting nothing on the pitch to quickly having confidence in a side you do not expect to lose now. that makes it good for the semi final as well as this mini run we are in. everything about the club looks like confidence for once.

Their defence is excellent and they have a decent manager who will be telling them to bombard Killip with crosses. Can we stop the crosses cos Killip wont catch or punch them? I think Pools will struggle this evening but I hope I am wrong.

i could take a defeat if it exposes him so much as being the problem in the side and the new lad comes in and shows an improvement in the position. many times some good comes out of the bad.

If you mean when Challinor fucked off, Then your spot on.

40 points in the bag and we can spend the rest of the season looking up not down. Another great night at the Vic. The atmosphere on Saturday against Sutton is going to be mental.

Tranmere had a lot of possession but did nothing with it and were poor all night. 2nd in the League? Seriously?

I didnt see the game so I would be interested in an answer to this question. Did Tranmere not look threatening because of our good organization and tactics or were they just poor footballers?

They have good players and good players will hurt you, If you let them play.

Tranmere fans weren’t so sure.... they were talking about their position being due to a good run against 10 average teams.

Would just like to point out that the underlined part of this was not said by me
