the same can be said about football team owners. they have built up a succesful business away from the game but once they become involved in football they act like a patterdale that needs vets treatment.

thats all true plus a bigger pool of players now that are available for signing as teams change their squads more than back in those days. there will be a number of players DC has spoken too and is unable or unwilling to meet their wage demands. some will quickly have to be more realistic in their wage demands. as the season goes on we,ll get a shock to find this or that player is without a club and they end up in non league as its the best they could then get. this happens season after season. agents and others telling em they are still a silk purse even if they are still a sows ear does not help them.
