We are all called John on the Trust board and 7% of members are also called John.

our fave joke is
Knock, knock!
Who's there?
John.
John who?
John the Air Force and see the world!

Why leave it to the Trust though????
Surely the consortium could have announced something of this nature, which would have gone along way to allaying our fears and prevented at least a proportion of rumour mongering and genuine concern.
Jeff Stelling is a fan just like us. You would think that he would want to keep the fans in the loop. After all what effort needs to be applied to something like "everything is in place, apart from ratification from the national league, which we expect before too long."
It makes me think that our fears, worries and edginess are of very little concern to this consortium.
An opportunity has been missed by the consortium to impress the fans and keep them onside.
They'll keep us informed pretty dam quick when they want us to commit to season tickets.
I am not impressed one little bit.

If it helps at all, Jeff did say as much on his show last Friday.

Thanks for that. I don't watch his show as I don't have sky. I rely on the Trust for information. The Trust has been in the forefront of information but it needn't be the only source of information. The consortium don't put out information on a regular basis and I don't think it would hurt them to try a bit harder on that front. On the other hand the Trust gives us regular bulletins which we all welcome.
I can't see why the present owners and/or the new owners don't keep us up to date on matters relating to the takeover. The Trust seem the only body who are awake at this time, everyone else has gone quiet.
I just wish everyone was as interested as the Trust in keeping the long suffering fans in the loop.

Is it a sign of things to come - fans being kept in the dark.

The local papers have papers to sell and rely on website clicks. If last Monday they said it’ll probs just happen after easter don’t worry then people will barely buy or click (if they even still do anyway)

So they generate fake stories to keep people coming back. Headlines that keep people coming back.

Just stick to the bunker or trust for news

I think the consortium and the club are both in a no-win situation really. If they say nothing, people will be questioning why. If they say something, it will probably lead to more questions, and if it all falls through, we would probably be saying 'why didn't they just keep shut if nothing was finalised'. I think we can take comfort from Stelling's brief words, the fact Raj and Hignett have been at games, and that Sage have stopped with the messages of plea on the website, that all parties want this to happen.

I would suggest that our local journalists should be the ones digging for info, but after the 'TAKEOVER IS OFF' .... 'TAKEOVER IS BACK ON AND HAPPENING TODAY' .... 'OKAY NOT TODAY BUT DEFINITELY TOMORROW' ... 'OKAY maybe Tuesday.....' incidents, it's clear they have done nothing of the sort

Any takeover needs to be approved by the National League and there next meeting is not until next Thursday so it was never going to be completed until then at the earliest and if the Trust could put that information out there 2 weeks ago and even Kennedy at The Mail has confirmed it today I don't see why someone at the club couldn't have said it and stopped all these rumours going round about the deal falling through and Singh going to takeover York instead. They don't have to put out war and peace just make simple and short statements with facts in them , if a bunch of volunteers at the Trust can do it it cant be that hard for the club to do it as they have a full time Media Department if Pam just lets them do their job instead of doing everything through the papers.
