Give it away? I think you may have to offer a fee to take it off your hands.

There really is no option for Pam if she's serious about promotion or even the playoffs.

He may have moved his family for the job but there's no room for sentiment, he'd look more suited to driving buses anyways.

All very depressing this. Today it finally got home to me that we’ll be a Non-League club for a the foreseeable future.

No chance we’re going to get close to promotion with this set up.

Where’s the hope? How can this be turned around? Shit up front. Average in midfield and piss poor defensively. Now it seems Loach is having a spell too.

We can change the management and we should, but the playing squad is just wholly inadequate and there are not many decent turd polishers who’ll come to us for less than the reserve team coach is on.

The 4 0 scoreline should not be a surprise to any one watching pools this season.
We have a team of pampered overpaid players with no spine in the team.
I rate featherstone and since he got injured we have conceded 8 goals in 2 and a half games and just returned to the dire football we played when he was injured at the beginning of the season.
As for harrison and the other coachers at the club they should hold their head in shame to the supporters who went all that way to Dover

Sadly the combined tactical genius of the more vociferous gobshites in the crowd is 'GER IT UP MAN' that's it.

The 116 Poolies that flogged down to Dover witnessed an embarrassing 4 - 0 defeat which must signal the end for the current management. The standard of football produced in the first half would have had Cloughie turning in his grave. The ball was hoofed skywards most of the time and as Dover had the taller players (poor little Munns), Pools were never in with much of a chance. Ironically a rare bit of 'ball on the floor' passing produced Dover's second.
Pools got their possession football working in the second half, but possession alone is not good enough and I wasn't aware of a clear cut chance that came our way. Every attempt on goal was blocked by numerous white shirts. Dover on the other hand with scraps of possession scored twice.
It is clear that the manager has set the team up to fail and he must go. The demands of the NL are beyond the current setup.

PS What a bloody awful climb for we OAP's to the Crabble ground!

Took a real effort by the players to beat them on that front as well.

Yet most agreed the midfield looked better the other week without him.

He's not the problem though neither is he the answer as far as I can see.

I don't think he's the greatest footballer but the results seem to have taken a turn for the worst since Hawkins got left out. I thought Harrison had sussed that this league was all about doing the ugly side well and all about graft when we went on that good run, Hawkins has the best engine out of any of our midfielders. Maybe playing the likes of Munns and Newton is alright at home but not so much in a game like today when the game was likely to be about closing down space and winning second balls.

That is another properly depressing low that today, another contender for our worst ever result. Two in the last three weeks is good going. I can't see a change happening if the clubs financial position is to be believed, if it did I'd honestly go for Gary Mills who knows this League inside out and has promotions and trophies on his CV. Not an inspiring shout I know but this is what it is. Recent results have been totally unacceptable.

We need to rally around Harrison as we have been told on numerous times no one could do better. He still has several formations he hasn't tried yet. His last resort will be a true 4-4-2 no diamond, pudding or crimbo tree version. The old 4-4-2 which seemed to create chances if people have forgot that's shots in and around the box.

When people talk about pay offs why does it have to be lump sums. Thorne and adabougerlugs contracts are up soon release these if necessary to bring in a new manager. I cannot believe the assistant, goalkeeper coach etc have a contract why would anyone give them one. They only work with the club as long as Harrison's there he is there resurrance of work. Also can the club stop giving contacts long term to people if they want to go somewhere better they just go. We weren't swimming in money off turner or bird cannot think of another who left for another managerial position.

Accidentally went in the Dover end, thought it wasn't segregated. So make that 117. I was there at Bromley when we were truly awful. Today felt different. We are a better quality side than Dover and we showed that for 90% of the game but problem is what we do at either end. Poor defending and no clue of how to score

Funny how the chest out rock hard piss heads all show up when we’re getting beat. Not just an embarrassment to our club but to our town as well.

Hopefully they’ll pick a wrong fight one day and get chinned into next week. You never know they might even get a bit of sense knocked into them.

Agreed but there's enough times in the past I've felt there was nothing to be positive about. So much anger around in the crowd last two games when I actually think we'd have won both on a different day. Can't underestimate the deflation from loachs mistake today. It seemed at the final.whistle at our regular team fan debrief that he wanted to take the blame. But that's a bit too.selfless of him

Another attack on a Trust director today.

They're an embarrassment to the town and the sort of people that will whinge when the club disappears. They have the type of mentality that ensures the town continues to decline in every way. They'll probably have a good giggle when they read this because they lack the basic intelligence to understand what their pathetic actions achieve.

By listening to their cowardly arsehole of a leader and his thick sidekick, they contribute to the continued lack of any success.

Gutted - Bird's late 2nd goal prevented me from predicting the score correctly for the second successive week. Even more unbelievable is the fact that certain individuals seriously believed that we would secure a result today.

Pools were on a decline from 2008 onwards with no investment. To be fair to Hodcroft he kept a tight grip on the finances. To be fair to everyone else it was Hodcroft who sold the club firstly to Murrall and Harris and when that didn't work out, he gave the club to Coxberg.

Ultimately for good years they gave us, they left Pools in a far worse state than when they arrived by handing it over to any passing dodgepot..

It looks like the club will have to hit rock bottom ( go out of existence for eg ) before it can start the long road back. Otherwise this way is just going to be a long drawn out slow death. Only the emergence of a Sugar Daddy can halt this decline .

Well said chip and horden. I appreciate that my last five years of posts have not been what fans (short for fanatics) have wanted to hear but it has been clear that since the heady days of EFL div 1 we have been in a nose dive to near oblivion. I have not had answers to the club's problems but one truism that never changes is that it costs less to keep a club up in a division than it does to get them promoted back. The owners of HUFC have not grasped that which is why we are in the mess we are now.
After the debacle at Dover (which I predicted 4 - 0) I am now a 'follower' of Hartlepool United FC, not a fan anymore. The club does not deserve the 3000+ supporters that have suffered misery for far too long. Dover, a consistently decent NL club manage well with around 1000.

To be fair it was never going to be easy for a club like us, IOR eventually realised that. Had we still been in Div 1, which would of been a fantastic achievement, gates would now be probably less than they are now. That is the reality of a small football club in a economically poor Northern town.

I am not sure why I think that it is important that an 'economically poor Northern town' should get a mention once a week when the football results are read but losing EFL status risks the town becoming anonymous like say Eastleigh. Until we played them recently, who had ever heard of Eastleigh?
