I walked before the 5th goal as well...wish I'd gone at half time - we were doing alright then!

The look on Hawkins face when he had to go to right back after Nsiala was hooked said it all for me.

Said the players lack passion and not enough guts in both boxes. I'm presuming he's including himself in that too.

Talking to a Cambridge fan after the game, he said at half time he would have been happy with a draw,I don't think he could believe what was to follow in the second half , hignett has lost the players and the supporters

Does he include himself when he was brushed aside instead of putting the big 26 for them in the family stand and then Martin as if he wasn`t there!
Their workrate second half was an example of what we are missing, at 4-0 up the no 8 and 26 doing a gut busting chasing job to their own half was exemplary, he bossed Toto and made him look poor.

I was on the Mill House side and it looked like someone had words with Hignett (who seemed to spend most of the match hiding inside the dugout) late in the game - looked like the stewards got involved - anyone see anything?

Was same lad who had a pop at hignett before match, hignett offered him a go outside after match, second time the stewards dragged him out

Pressure has got too much for him. Sad as he wanted to do things the 'right way' without having the right tools.

No one in a position of power can offer customers out and still be in a job the next day. IF true that is, only going off what's been posted above.

His interview on the official site reads like he's very much still in a job.

It's hard to get behind him but we've got no choice. He'll never turn it round without the fans continued support.

The right tools? He had the chance to sign the right players, instead he bought a load of midfielders and strikers in pre-season and changed the entire system to somehow fit them all in. Any good team in history is built from the back, we're abysmal there. We haven't stopped a cross since 2007.

The squad is massive and full of shite players that will never get a run in the team. Some need to go in January and the defence needs to be sorted.

If a fan was abusing him then fair play to him giving it back imo.

Love the way some of our fans think it's ok to shout abuse but then start crying if any is given back.

From the highlights, 1 good goal and 3 deflections, mind some poor marking and (attempted)tackling. This does put a slightly more positive spin on the result.

Err, no. They got lucky with some deflections but Pools were completely overrun second half.

Cambridge had a big lad up front who terrified our defence. He trampled all over all our defenders all game and just swatted them off as if they were flies. We DO NOT HAVE ANYONE who can cause so much mayhem has he did. You could see the fear in their faces. We are all too nicey nicey. He needed a kicking on his ankles, whatever it took we could not do it, defenders crapped themselves. What I cannot understand is that Cambridge have always had a bit physical side, yet we do not seem to be able to change our game or have the players who can or able to do anything about it. The management do jot seem to have done any homework on them at all,

We may be able play Nice football against teams who play football but we need to be able be ably to play ugly against ugly teams. Higgy's teams are not programmed to play ugly. Teams who get promoted from league 2 have to be adaptable which we are not

Been going to pools since 1960, I don't think we have ever collapsed like we did yesterday. We have conceded 5 and more before but I cannot remember ever conceding 5 in one half. It doesn't bear thinking about what the score would have ended up like if we played the first half like we did the second!

We play nice football where it doesnt matter or where it doesnt hurt the opposition. Yesterday and for the last few weeks, this team has been nothing short of a disgrace and an embarassment. How hignett his sidekick and quite a lot of his players survive this. God knows. We have recently been sleep walking into a relegtion battle. Yesterday should be the wake up call everyone needed. Im shocked hignett hasnt gone already. People keep saying dont swap and change managers but if we dont act now. We could be in a right mess soon, if we arent already.
