Also, people who angle their headlights as high as possible despite being in the car on their own. It's adjustable so when you're carrying a heavy load the angle can be the same you divvy fuckers! Point it as far down as it goes and stop blinding me.

Another also, coming into town this morning at about 6am, foglights everywhere on the Hart bypass. Raining so reflecting off the road. Wankers. DRL's I can deal with, super bright twat lights I can not.

Sure you got this the right way round?

If the rear of the car is loaded up, the front lights go up and need to be lowered.

I know the feeling, driving in country roads with no street lights is particularly bad this time of year. The amount of cars with one light brighter than the other is ridiculous, not sure if one light is blown so they compensate with making the other one brighter or when they replace a bulb they just opt for the brightest one they can find.

Luckily near me there are loads of ordinary pubs selling ordinary ale at ordinary prices.

All the clever cuunts get sucked into those craft bars with their £5 a pint badger piss IPAs and leave us to it.

Have you tried any of that homemade black pud with the big chunks of fat in?

Not keen myself, the pud itself is lovely but can`t get away with the fat chunks :puke-front:

I hate the stuff with lumps of fat in it. The best type is the Scottish one which has oatmeal mixed in and no fat lumps. The Stornoway brand is the best I've tasted.

Shin beef is gorgeous, had it on Thursday night. OK. You have to dress it to get it right but well worth it.

Might not even make the trip north now.

We're bound to get fucking battered.

Terrible day already. Might be best I sit at home today.

Completely changing the subject, I just heard a F1 commentator on Sky Sports News say 'I don't know what the French is for deja vu', nearly choked on my tea :)

We're gonna win now today.

I bet you drive a Range Rover "Sport" [black, of course], have a high maintenance hairdo, wear a pashmina or whatever those wrap things are called, have a philandering husband who works "in Saudi" and phone the emergency services when you can't find Sainsburys. Just to say that as the Dad of somebody with bi-polar disorder I find your jokes shite. You probably won't get banned or anything because awareness of this sort of sort of mental illness is still pretty poor. To be fair, maybe you shouldn't get banned because it is hard to keep up with the world but it would be good to show some consideration to people with this sort of condition by saying sorry.

Yes, sorry Snowy I put it as a reply to you when it should have been a reply to Shilts and Zippy further back. I don't think Shilts meant any harm and Zippy was probably just excited to see a remark about mental illness going unchallenged so he joined in with a stupid pointless joke. Not great to read if you have any knowledge of the condition.

Of course Shilts meant no harm, only people who know Monkeybutt could be so crass as to attempt a joke without consulting the Political correctness handbook and the ever increasing lists of ailments etc that you cannot make light of!
For fucks sake, it wasn`t an attack on mental illness or you and I apologise if you were offended.

Don't bother to apologise when you obviously don't mean it. You've made it clear that you think it is OK to make jokes about mental illness and you're entitled to an opinion.

To be honest I'm not offended so much as pissed off that I go on the Bunker after a great Pools result and end up being reminded how difficult life can be for people who suffer this sort of condition. Look at the suicide rates among young people with mental illnesses and then have a think about whether making them or their families and friends feel more isolated is really worth it for a shit joke.

This has got nothing to with political correctness just basic decency towards other people.

Glad I'm not driving in this Brazilian GP. Felt sick when Vettel/rainkonon both span and sat facing the oncoming traffic.

Terrifying wasn't it.

Local Rio paper describes the racing conditions as "wet". Correspondent known only as "Angry of Guaruja" takes umbrage. Piss boils.

Safety car start but 50 minutes of rain predicted. Can't see this race going any further.

More importantly....... Something mildly interesting happened in Formula One!!? In the same weekend as Pools won at home as well.

oh, Mr Toulouse....absolutely no offence intended :( I really aren't that sort of bloke - exact opposite is more accurate I would hope.

My wife works with people with/who are bi-polar, personality disorders, schizophrenia (spelling?), suicidal, hyper-manic, psychotic, post-natal psychotic, drug and alcohol induced mental illnesses to name a few which as a result means mental health is something quite close to us as a family. I also don't think there are many families who mental illness hasn't touched and mine is no exception.

Being perfectly honest, I thought it could possibly offend but then thought it couldn't because I was referring to me and not taking the piss out of anyone or the condition - never would. It's also not even an accurate description of the condition going from low to high so quickly. I should've just gone with my first instint and stopped typing.

If you knew me, you'd know there was nothing meant by it but you don't so genuine apologies Mr Toulouse :(

As I said, I didn't think there was anything bad intended on your part Shilts, it was the follow up from Zippy that really pissed me off. Thanks very much for the apology though- obviously completely genuine even though you meant no harm at all.

Right

It is plain to see the responses to an inflammatory subject like Driving with brake lights on!

Therefore, I suggest Bunkerites walk or take the bus! No-one will then get angry on here in the future! Simple

Oh....hold on... apart from w*nkers who have a mobility chariot who don't need one and think they own the footpath cos you are "walking" too slow........ and smelly people one the bus that always sit near me.... AAAAArgh!!!!

This thread is inflammatory!!!!

Smelly people are attracted to other honkers.

As for the mobility scooters, it's been mentioned on here before regarding their use of the road as if they are like any other vehicle. Usually people whose only reason for having one is they are fat, lazy dobbers.

Buses don't take me to work at 6am and in 45 minutes sadly or I'd use one. So unless I fancy a 2 hour plus journey and to be late from work and unable to get home I'll stick to the car and get angry.

Would still take about 3 hours to get to Newcastle though. Until there are more direct routes with less stops they're not a viable replacement. It's a shame because I would use one if I could drive it, there was only me in it and it took me directly where I wanted to go... If only there was a mode of transport like that

Monday to Friday you still can, depending on living on the service 6 or 7 route.

Funny thing is you can get s direct service to Newcastle from Billingham or Peterlee every hour all day..... But oddly not from Hartlepool.
We must be the only place in the North East without a connection.

We're too far off the main bus route.. Driving through the town would add another 1/2 an hour to the journey.

Good point, but..... As it starts off at the Boro wanders round to Stockton then various ways to Billingham. Etc.
We really do have poor connections and any buses that do go out of town go by the longest route possible.... Then people wonder why you buy a car.
