Just watched Trump's "bring me your poor huddled masses" moment on TV - made me want to retch. Like with brexit this campaign reached depths unimagined even a few years ago but now, apparently, everybody has to work together. Good luck with that Donald.

Lots of anger, demos and protests all over America. He looks set to have blood on his hands before long.

That depressed-looking boy of Trump's, who's obviously been bullied into appearing on the stadium with him.....looks like a case of emotional child abuse.

That was shocking putting that kid there dressed like minime.

This result actually makes Bexit look positive.

Clinton actually got more votes than Trump. Yet lost.

So in a country having a two horse race election, where you are actually voting for the person, the one with the most votes doesnt necessarily win.

Barking.

But it gets worse:

The system is rigged to favour those living outside the big cities.

Most of the cities voted for Clinton by huge margins. people who are probably more tolerant, wealthier, accept racial integration, and so on.

But redneck America, the home of the KKK, the anti abortion nut jobs, and the seriously deluded god botherers, went the other way, and got the result, even though there are less of them.

And they claim its the land of the free.

Presuming you meant Brexit and not Bexit.

The Democrats have won the most votes in almost every Presedential Election for the last 30 years. Getting the most votes isn't important.

Even when they do win, as was the case with Obama, they cant actually make any changes as they cant get them through Congress.

I read somewhere, and I have no reason to doubt it, that California (one of the states they nicked from Mexico in reparation for the Alamo an' all that, which in comparison makes the treaty of Versailles seem like a mild dressing down), if it were to separate from the States, would be the 9th biggest economy in the world. It is overwhelmingly Democrat and has the most electoral college votes of any state.

As a reward they get Trump.
Scotland, who probably represent about half the economy of Bakersfield, get their own parliament.
I'd be gutted.

The system is designed for this very thing to happen.

The smallest states mainly out in the sticks are represented by at least 2 times as many representitives per person. some as many as 10.

Its a bizarre system.

Trump will be moving into washington. an area that voted overwhelmingly for clinton.

Its just very odd.

Didn't Jimmy Krankie says its a strange result but she respects the American voters choice. How about respecting the vote taken on the 23rd June.

That really sums up the mentality of the people who have brought about both results as well, totally clueless about the consequences and even any real and valid reason they voted for it.
