The age profile for football crowds, season ticket ownership and fan activism are all up. You could argue that fans between 40 and 65 grew up in a sort of golden age where you had just enough TV to keep you in touch with national football, a boom in away attendances and the birth of a fan culture round the game. On top of that watching live matches was very affordable and there wasn't that much else to do. The age of people on the Bunker reflects a wide national trend.
