Throston Hotspur and St Francis have both jumped from the youth leagues to Sunday mornings. Hotspur have done well and are a good well organised side and got to the quarter final of the county cup last season which is a great achievement for a then Second division side. Francis aren't the worst side ever like, just need a bit more bite about them and to be fair they have lost a couple of their decent players to prem sides. Different culture amongst young lads nowadays like, as has been mentioned so its all about clubs adapting to what they've got.

Decent 6-2 win for us this morning against a hardworking 3 Lions side who came down from Prem last season and will be somewhere near promotion this season by the looks of it.

2 out of 2 now in the league and an away trip in County Cup next week to Washington Westwood FC.

Our game in County Cup was off today due to Washington team dropping out of cup midweek so went over to King Georges to watch Lion v Throston only to find that was also off due to no ref.

Ended up on Grays watching Rovers win 1 0 and caught a bit of the Central beating whoever they played.

How did everyone else get on?

We ended up winning 3-1 snake eyes against a team from Darlo. Hit the bar 4 times, should have been much more. Happy to get a goal from left back, lovely little move down the left, bit like bale v inter Milan, shot across the keeper into the far corner.

Ha well i didn't witness your goal but noticed little Talla playing for you and throwing himself into tackles like a teenager. 53 years old and don't think he'll ever pack in.

We lost 3-2 in a very very eventful game at Washington Westwood FC. They had 7 Northern league lads playing who plytheir trade at Sunderland RCA, Chester le Street and Crook but we played really well and only lost thanks to their 3 penalties and us unusually failing to put our chances away in last 20 minutes when we had them penned in. Best weve played for a while and i doubt we will play anyone else like that this season.

Hard to believe he's 53, he does more running than lads half his age, he's a miracle man, i think he's got a passport like roger milla.

Canny little signing that.

We got tore a new one last week by throsten wanderers, men against boys, we had a bit of the play n got it back to 2-1, hit the post n bar but i think even it we got it back to 2-2 they'd have just swept us aside.

County cup again this weekend, anyone else still in it?

yeah it was frightening, the movement off the ball was on another level, i was marking this right winger who pretty much played centre mid, so you dont know whether to stay wide n mark your space or follow your man which leaves a gap in the LB area.

Every shot is on target aswell, we had chances that went over, hit the post, keeper saved, and you just cant miss your chances against them.

I'd be over the moon to just stop up in this division.

Good 2-1 win for us this morning against a decent Schooner side. Plenty of chances for both sides but we defended very strongly against a side with some good players. 3 out of 3 now in the league so we doing ok in Div One.

How did you get the shiner aido? Trademark header?

We won 5-1 in the county cup this morn, another goal for myself, 2 in 2 in the cup now.

We got battered 7 - 2 in County Cup by a half decent Sunderland side, let down badly by lads who whinged that we never get away tie then didn't bother to turn up when we finally do.

Yubep. They play on Greatham Playing Fields, follow the road into Greatham all the way round and eventually you will see it.

Yubep what you think of the pitch theve put a lot of hard work into getting it like that. As soon as they get showers you probably won't find a better place in the town then to play cup finals.

I trained with Greatham while I was home in the summer. Lovely surface and a good size. As good a pitch as you'll find in the town for sure.

Lovely pitch. The shower thing was frustrating but you can see what they trying to do there.

Even better for us as we got a nice 3-2 win. The ageless taller scoring a peach from 30 yards.

Good win that like Yubep, Greatham are a decent side despite their early results, they won't stay bottom for long.

Was well impressed with the set up at Blackhall like, great pitch, very good changing facilities and their management and players were first class from start to finish. Was a pleasure to play there.

Made my debut for The Mowbray yesterday, 6 or 7 nil defeat I think it finished. First proper game in 2 years and could tell, plenty of air kicks and off pace but its good to back in the game like.

Anyone play for the Mowbray? My mate played for them yesterday and said they lost cos of some new player who couldnt even kick a ball and was a worse headerer than Fenwick.

New team requested to join the league for next season - Blackhall Cricket Club. Chances are its a case of Blackhall Hardwick can't be arsed with the prem anymore and are starting again in division 2.

Its the old Hardwick manager and some of their players who've decided to restart the cricket club. Not sure if it'll mean the Hardwick resigning but can imagine a fair few of the players will drop down with him.

Was this from meeting last night Joe, any mention of going down to two divsions?

All new teams have to start from the bottom division.

They will also have to play in Hartlepool as Blackhall won't let them play there and neither will peterlee as pools youth play on it.
