Not sure what you are getting at there.

Are you saying I should be banned for saying I thought I heard someone else shout something?

Just for the record I don't think Ķh is one.

That would be just wrong.

Or can you explain, in very simple terms, why the chance to purchase a season ticket in instalments must be done by July if everything is above board.

Just a guess but payment by end of July (Friday 31st) is a week before the season kicks off. Only when payment has been allowed through Zebra Finance has a ticket not had to be paid for FULLY PRIOR to the season starting. Zebra handed over the money to Pools hence the ticket was paid for in full just by a credit company. Then anyone who was using Zebra got their ticket prior to the first game (usually) and if they defaulted on payment(s) then they had the ticket still and it was Zebra not Pools who took the fan to court for defaulting on the credit agreement.

Do you think Pools (or any Football club) would want to take any fan to court for defaulting on payment(s) ? They could technically extend it to August 14th at latest if first home game is the second game of their season. But if we at home first game then they can extend it to August 7th, only 1 week later.

OK - quick check of the internet - Zebra finance still up and running and selling season tickets for clubs for the coming season, so no issue from their end.

Pools get the money up front for stated number of season tickets through Zebra finance......

Why won't they sell them under the same terms next season?

you haven't really explained why the season tickets need to be paid in full by July - if anything, the move away from 0% finance deals over the year raises more questions than answers.

Put another way - if you had a builder coming to your house - and you paid for the work in instalments - you'd be happy - as would most builders.

If suddenly, he started demanding full payment up front weeks before he was due to start the work - amid rumours his company was due to be bought by a competitor, would you still hand over all the cash?

that's how I view it. Ken has stated earlier this year that the club remains up for sale - he also refers to IOR being the creditors to the fans on the season ticket sales page on the main site - these two points concern me more than any other.

With stricter regulations governing the Club acting as a creditor on behalf of fans now in place

I can't answer why Pools arent using a finance company. You'd have to email them. It not an option (it should be) I only give an answer to the situation as it is going to be. Pools want the money before first game, simply as I said because they won't want to take someone to court for defaulting.

Depends on whether your mates at the lodge can help me out or not bresslaw. Can they I'm sure someone in the Masons can help

The point is that there isn't the option of saying yes I'll go as a pools fan. Not saying everything IOR, Hodcroft and Green do is the right thing, but I still support the team. Cue the "it's all going in the back pockets and not into the club" posts. Therefore as the up suggest I will be renewing regardless of what happens in the summer. I might be disappointed with the squad next season I might be hopeful but ill have a season ticket... and my vote reflects that

Your name rather gives the game away, and that sad old phraserenewing regardless of what happensindicates any thought put into the process of buying one is limited to the happy clappy aspect of it, whilst happily rejoicing in a state of mind where ' happiness reigns all the year round' brought on by the magical properties of fondling a new season ticket.... or posdibly not.

OR it means I'm not just a fair weather supporter and I support the club, not individuals. this is a concept some people here can't separate. I was hardly dancing on the streets when we were 10 points behind last season and I don't want it to happen again this season... that doesn't mean that I'm not going to buy a season ticket in the fear that it will but that I will be renewing It in the hope that we will have a cracking season.you may say it is misguided and that's your opinion but it won't change my mind.
