Anybody who thinks ior have saved us needs sectioning. Years of under spending years of little or no communication. Picking the squad before managers arrive in the summer. Jobs being lost in the club lies being told about managers being there first choice a chief executive in two bodged takeovers. Having the nerve to justify charging fans 20-25 quid to watch utter rubbish. No plans on attracting the young fans of the town to watch the club regularly. Bulling their way through yet another transfer window. The club is a joke no credit should be given for saving us from tmh because anybody with half a brain could of sensed something was wrong when fans of teams who are up the shitter are telling you stay away from them. They have managed to drag it out unbelievably to two days after the transfer window system being closed. We have been treat like idiots. I'm afraid we wont be anymore.

Have to agree with PJ and others on here that the article isn't that bad and does pose a question not make a statement.

Clearly he isn't the saviour as the lack of funding in recent years has brought us to where we are now. Then again he might have pulled out of the deal for the right reasons and saved us from a worse fate. We will never know.

Clearly there are many on here blinkered on both sides (Ken/Russ can do no right or can do no wrong) so I don't expect reasoned debate to return any time soon.

What question does it possibly pose?

All he's saying is ior have done so well to not let tmh in that we should thank them.

What he fails to mention is ior didnt check this BEFORE russ put this consortium together, we all bloody checked them out on december 16th n found them dodgy as fook.

What the article also fails to mention is russ greens role in this, is russ brought this dodgy men to our club then why is he still here? This is the second group of dodgy geezers he's tried to get in charge of pools in order to feather his own nest.

I'll keep saying this until it gets heard, his position at pools is completely untenable.

I'm a fan of Pools, i just want whats best for them, i dont think russ is whats best for pools at the moment.

I guess we are all (well nearly all) Pools fans on here and want what's best for the club.

Differences of opinion of what that actually means will remain but we should try to remember this before launching into some of the personal abuse that has littered this Board over recent months.

Of course if we ever get new (decent) owners that we largely agree on then we can get back to the healthy debate as to whether certain players are shit or not!

It has the basis of a good article, but doesn't ask any questions...because I'd wager he wouldn't get any answers to the questions. However, there is no harm in ASKING them.

I'd like to know..

1) Who brought TMH "to the table"

2) Why weren't they vetted at that stage

3) Why was the "Takeover" changed to a "Proposed Takeover" when it went tits up

4) Are IOR/Hodcroft/Russ Green staying at the club or is it still for sale

5) What are IOR's reasons for systematically running the club down over the past five years and are they going to continue in this vein

Simple enough questions.

If this is aimed at who I think it is he wouldn't dare!

The pr machine will be in full force from now till the end of the season to try to smooth over our relegation to the conference. The culprits will be preying there isn't a backlash from the fans before the end of the season

Not a criticism of you personally but as a group of fans most of you cottoned onto the fact that TMH had very dodgy connections who may or may not have been involved in the takeover, but it took you till last friday to organise a meeting to try and get the trust idea up and running and even then it sounds like it was a bit of a disaster.
You really need to get this thing up and running because the end of the season will soon be upon you.

It's an interesting read but weather you want to join on the 'I love IOR' fan club is probably unlikely for now. A lot still has to be done before I do that personally but time will tell
