Cheers yubep I wouldn't want it. Far to much hassle. And that from a union rep who knows that it a no win situation.

Why not just wait and see who's interested. Everyone just seems to be suggesting people who have zero interest in doing it. Those who want to apply, will apply, the club will pick the shortlist and we will vote.

4000 season ticket holders and an unknown number that pay at the gate. Probably less than 10 percent use message boards. There may be competition for anyone for the position of fans rep. And rightly so.

Agreed . The more competition and from more places the better.

I think Elvis would be a very good bet. If Elvis didn't do it then, and I know this will not be popular, but I think I would be good for it. I would say how it is and be immune to any tickly bellies.

I spend a lot of time on here so would have a good idea what supporters are thinking and be able to communicate that well (but admittedly don't attend away games though).

If they are asking for one representative Phil Dunn for me. Already works close with the club doing programme notes for the good of all fans and not being paid. it's a great start and he can then suggest growing that number at the initial meeting. Makes sense not to bombard the new owners too quickly and ease into the position. If too many folk are throwing ideas it might send them off track and think fcuk this and go silent like the last lot. A primary focal point to start and expand the group as the relationship develops.

Apart from myself , you would get my vote too, though I think its fookin cringeworthy some of the creeping being done by your fan club. Very diplomatic of you to mention 4 groups rather than individual names. That's one of the reasons you would get my vote.

my new contract of employment specifically forbids my being part of any charity or community organisation in any official capacity

I am allowed to be on a board of school governors though

not that I would want to
