Just got back from Stag and Monkey, can't fault it. 2 meals and a pint and a glass of wine for £16. Chicken tikka flatbread and chips and a jacket potato with topping, corn on the cob and coleslaw. Get what you pay for, only waiting 10-15 mins for our food, would go back.

Mmm, you can`t beat the wet microwave taste of a corn cob, side order of microwave jacket spud and a factory made coleslaw!

Think I will have to pop in today for a portion

Went in Saturday for a few drinks n scran before going up to Newcastle, wasn't too bad, was what I expected, food was a little too quick, I know its microwaved but hold it back a little too at least give me the illusion its a genuine meal that's been cooked.

Anyway was full of families n play area was decent I reckon anyone with kids it would be pleased, kids eat for a £1 on Tuesdays too and the booths have TV's built into the wall.

Fens has just reopened and started doing food... Anyone been yet? I've been in for a few pints since it's reopened but not tried food yet.

Slightly off topic, but I had breakfast in Wetherspoons last Friday. Not bad actually for the price. Couldn't eat me Tomato cos the salt seller came out too quick, there was about a weeks recommended allowance! I much preferred the little sachets.

Chef has moved up here from London so I would expect its decent enough grub.

I'm sure there's some logic somewhere in that comment, I'm struggling to find it though

There's certainly plenty of shit chefs in London. To reinforce regional stereotypes, lets just say he'll probably have to double the portion size and sell it for half the price in Hartlepool for it to be acceptable.

Anyone tried the chicken fillets in Jim Beam sauce from Iceland?

Had them on Sunday when visiting the culinary genius that is the kids grandma, everything comes from Iceland and although I would normally refrain from eating her shite, these were a taste revelation, going to be paying the outlet a visit to stockpile said poultry fare :shifty:

Well that's you PJ, and as usual every single post you make is never an opinion of your own but just to try and make people look stupid (yes I do a good enough job of that myself etc)

Well if they just wanted a shit chef and didn't care about it, I'm sure they would have employed one from town and not have had to include accommodation etc.

I also doubt a chef from London would move to this shit hole to do microwave food etc.
