The general consensus seems to be that Martin Gray was 'outsmarted' by the Ramsbottom management team.

I'm guessing they used a fishing rod with a sausage attached to the line to distract him. He was last seen running chasing the sausage through a field somewhere near Barnard Castle.

Outsmarting Martin Gray

Does anyone know why Martin Grays van (I take it its him that runs these football Academies?) is in Hartlepool a LOT? It's around town a fair bit, all hours? He doesn't live in Hpool does he?

What was the attendance? Just read a quote on their message board of 'we always lose in front of big crowds'

Ah man, dont get me started on his fooking football academy.

Or as its known by most people, "The ex players cash cow that cons people into believing its connected to the professional game, and can move mountains to get kids into the professional game"

Its a long name I know, but thats exactly what it is.

Some brain box on the darlo website has just written this:

We're now on a sound financial footing and will have more debt paid off before we need to increase the budget to succeed further up the pyramid.

At some point in the next year we'll be back home and that will give us a huge lift.

So, they are on a sound financial footing, but still have debts to pay off, and will have more debt to pay off still, and yet still think there is money to take them back to Darlow with a ground ready.

Where are they getting the money?

Anyone for a final 13 minute chortle fest of the season, enhanced by a Loid gobshite in the background.

I was expected to see a horrific refereeing performance, the opposition were better 1883 have some dreadful footballers (if you can call them that)

The Ref was consistent in only showing yellows for the bad tackle in the first minute when the lads touch got away from him and the absolute leg two footed breaker at the end by the Darlo player, a miles worse tackle as he in frustration tried to hurt him. Darlo look like a Gray team, dirty, in the referees ear and devoid of passing/skill.

It was a red card as was the shocker by the Darlo player at the end, which was technically worse as it was two footed. The first one was over zealous and dangerous seconds into the game after a poor touch, the second one is out of frustration and with clear intent. He punished them both the same. It doesn't make him right by he was consistent.

I wasn't laughing at the lad getting injured I was laughing at how shit you are.

Also still pictures are misleading that was probably after the contact making it look worse, he wouldn't have damaged his ankle if he'd have caught him that high.

Thing is, when your just having a kick about with your mates n someone shouts FOULY FOOTY! you gotta just roll with it n foul away.

These are the things darlo fans don't realise now.

It was an awful match, no doubt about it. I'm sure you have had your fair share of crap games too judging by some of the comments on here over the season.

ElvisC wrote:

He does himself no favours sometimes. Most Darlo fans think the same about Chris Turner too. Probably the same as you think of Mr Newell ;)

Yes, should both have been reds IMO. However if the red in the first minute had been given then that changes the course of the game. A red in the last minute in frustration has no effect at all on the outcome.
As for the comment about the picture being misleading, don't be so stupid. A tackle doesn't have to be on the actual ankle to make the ligaments snap.

The thick not nice people are now claiming they have done well because they were working with a severely limited budget
They have spunked more money up the wall than most of the other teams in their league combined
