There's a hell of a lot of difference between a pat on the arse and rape. I didn't say what went on in those days was right, it was just a different era. You saw similar stuff on the tv (On the Buses for example). It went on but I've seen many of those girls (as they were then) over the years and none of them seem to have had their lives destroyed over it.

The idea of using 'On the Buses' as a guide to relationships with women removes any credibility you may have had. Oh dear.

I wonder if the DLT presented TOTP episodes can now be shown on BBC4.

I'm at the point now where if they did or didn't do dodgy rapey stuff I don't care as long as people stop banging on about it.

They still haven't decided what to do with Freddie Starr yet.

All this is being funded by HM Taxpayer.

Stuart Hall has been sent down, and with a bit more evidence I'm sure others would have followed. What price would you put on bringing nonces/rapists/sex cases to justice? Maybe we should just let them carry on as normal and save a few bob.

The problem is proving an offence after so much time. Hall did everyone a favour by confessing. Freddie Starr has been arrested and re-arrested a few times over a period of about 15 months. Either charge him or let him go but it seems pointless just to haul him in every couple of months.

Should the wheels of justice stop turning then? Would your attitude be the same if a non-famous nonce was continually called in for questioning? What if one of your friends or relatives had been abused or assaulted by one of these not nice people? The media bangs on about loads of irritating shite, but that doesn't mean sex cases shouldn't go ahead and be reported on.

Why is he called the hairy cornflake?

It was either because he did the breakfast show and was very hairy or because he used to give young lasses he worked with bowls of cornflakes with some of his pubic hair mixed in. This was normal in the 70s and just a bit of fun.

Can't remember which reason is right though. Probably because I had my own reasons for always calling him the irritating, smug, music-hating shithead.

Do any other morning radio presenters get called after cereal?

If it was a non-famous nonce would they keep arresting and re-arresting him? I doubt it. After 15 months they should know by now whether to charge him or release him.

Yes, it happens all the time. If new evidence comes up they'll haul him in to try and trip him up with it.
