I think it's an exciting signing, but along with other poolies hope he doesn't turn into another Howard, but, as others have said Coopers previous signings have all been good.

Welcome to pools Marlon!

I should hope he has had loads of offers since he came back to League 2 too soon.

Call me a cynic but why would an out of work 37 year old just released from a league two team need to consider an offer from a champ club? You'd just go for it!

Considering Howard considered quitting the game towards the end of 2012 I'd be shocked if he ever plays professionally anywhere again.

Some people were licking his arse on twitter, asking him to come out of retirement. He replied with "I'm not in retirement". I said "Could have fooled us #hufc".

Guess you had to be there.

I think one of the comments that keeps coming up about Harewood from even Bristol City fans who've watched him this season are hard working and that he puts a shift in for the team.

He's a strong player put he's always been a better player into feet with his back to goal so he could be the little link we need to help the likes of James and Poole. Hopefully he's still got a bit of the pace he had a few years ago as well. A totally different type of player to Stevie Statue though so let's see how he does.

From what Cooper said he'll be good in the dressing room as well with the younger players.

I said at the match on Saturday that we need a proper centre forward for James to play off rather than expecting him to plough on up front on his own. Hopefully Harewood will be in the physical shape to be that signing so I'm cautiously optimistic that we are at least addressing where I think the main problem is as I think we will get a lot more out of James if he is played in that way.

If Dolan hadn't gone back I'd be more than happy with our current squad for the rest of the season, and although I'm not in the anti-Walton camp and think he can do a decent enough job for us I think we are now light in central midfield if we get injuries or suspensions so would like to see another central midfielder into the squad.

Coincidently in picture 9 is Stevie Howard closely marking Harewood.

The Robotronic Satellite Receiving Trailer is standard kit at football training grounds nowadays. You can download a life-sized virtual Howard to play against in 32 seconds. You have toi print him out after that but its still quite quick and just as mobile as the real thing.
