as its just been posted that they lost last night I have just had a quick look at their site:

Came across this classic talking about last nights match:

Even more embarrassing was they played the whole 90 minutes with a striker in goal as they didn't have a goalkeeper available. The goal was the only attempt we had all night.

:laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:

Very sunday league.

To be fair 1883 lost the toss and had to play 'skins' on a bitterly cold night.

I can well imagine his idea of success would be to physically outmuscle teams. However the laws of the game have changed such that physical players with limited ability can no longer kick players/ manhandle them just to stop good footballers from playing.

This also applies at the level they now play at

I seen a picture of one of their players and he would be more suited to rugger.

It's only bang on if you're not deluded and some of them cannot accept that 1883 is a new club and they have no history.

F**king hypocrite!!! You lot have no chance of winning your league and seem to conveniently forget that you lose around £1m a year, a debt owed to your owners who could quite easily drop you in it if they chose to. Even if they sold you would any new owner be willing to subsidise you to such an extent? Or would your playing budget go down to Skrill North levels? You would soon find out what non league football is all about soon enough.[/quote]

Lot of "If's" in there Dave. Quite a few "Woulds" too....

Not Happening. Despite your years of dreaming it will. Get a grip.

I'm slightly disappointed that it seems to be every Darlington 1883 fans Wet Dream that IOR pull the plug, call in their 12 million "debt" and we go bust.

It's not a nice trait. I certainly didn't want Darlington FC to go to the wall.

I just wanted them to flounder in the Conference for a few years, they couldn't even do that.

The thing is they've been wet dreaming about that long, long before they actually went pop. At least 12 years.

They have got a fantastic "Official" Twitter page... One tweet from last nights game

"Darlington FC ‏@Official_Darlo 16h
GOAL Darlington 1 Ossett 2 - atrocious, simply embarrassing"

At least whoever run's the page knows the truth..

To be honest Phil, when I see some of the childish guff being written on this message board by you lot, sometimes including you who I expected better from to be honest, is there any wonder that some Darlo fans would find it fucking hilarious if the same fate befell you lot as it did us. And don't say it will never happen because one day IOR will want rid of pools and then you will all experience squeaky bum time in case no one else wants you. After all, what assets do you have? A rented ground isn't an asset and players values count for fuck all when theres a fire sale on. You'll have to cut your cloth accordingly and run a budget that doesn't lose the club around £1m a year. Then where will you end up?

one thing's for sure, we will still end up at the Victoria Ground, because nobody can sell it under our feet... other than the council. And that won't happen

If we ended up non league, we are in a position to follow sustainable models such as Wrexham, York, Chester, Halifax, Exeter etc etc

We wouldn't end up where Darlo are

He has some decent games for Pools and showed the odd moment of class. Brilliant free kick in a win at Bournemouth a nice goal at home to Bury when some of his passing was sublime. Of yeah and he helped shift nearly 6,000 season tickets.

Neale Cooper didn't think he fitted into his plans he didn't turn up for a reserve game and we sacked him.

I'm sorry to answer your shit craic laden post with a serious answer but Solano wasn't a complete disaster. I enjoyed watching odd flash he still had, Steve Howard was a far, far worse signing.

The Tino affair epitomised your shambles of a now extinct club and even the new club keeps giving with Martin Grays cringeworthy delusion in that article and getting pissed on by teams we've never heard of in front of less than 200 people.

We went 9 unbeaten at the start of that season and were in top three of League One, his signing boosted the sales irregardless of the price and that positivity helped us in the opening weeks of the season and he did make the odd decent contribution.

To compare him with the Tino affair (which we are still laughing at now) confirms you as the King of the slack jawed yokels.

You then went for Tino and well he ran away

We went for nobby and yep he signed
We went for Beardsley n yep he signed aswell

Now we have players valued at over a million pound and scouts watching them each and every week
Now you don't have an entire squad valued at 10 grand combined and have less than 1000 fans and the only extras to turn up are dogs.

That season ticket may have been £100 but it was certainly golden compared to your tickets which are printed on a4 paper as you can't even afford normal tickets

Remember people, these retorts are not borne out of bitterness at all. Even the parts when he wishfully forecasts our liquidation.

Nothing bitter to see.

Remember as well if roles were reversed, absolutely no piss taking would be taking place on Darlo Uncovered. They aren't like that.

My point proven. Typical poolie retard. You go well with Joe Mac and PJ.

That's twice you've chucked abuse.

Either go and follow your own club and don't come back or wind your neck in. IOR aren't leaving but we will ring you first so you can bring you band of petty deluded fools round for a chorus of we told you do because it will be the highlight of your next 40 years following football.

Stop spouting bullshit then and I won't give out any abuse to those who do.
My posting record on here will show the fact that I rarely get involved in this sort of thing but sometimes if I feel some on here are spouting shite then I'll say so.

What is bullshit!?

Qualify this so far scandalously unsubstantiated slur on FACT.

(He going to say they are a continuation and not a reformed club isn't he)
