There's still Ken Hodcroft, Russ Green and Mark Simpson. They'll still be scraping the shite off that was thrown at them last season.

I think everyone has gone now that we desperately wanted out? It only took six months.
And that "only" is not meant as sarcasm. I really didn't see it happening until we were in deep shite again.

Well, it's only six months since June, but for some of us the campaign started earlier than that. Why, I know people (no names but follow my eyes :? ) who started desperately wanting years ago........

Hopefully this news will put to bed any theory that any idiot may have that having a big bloke up front serves any purpose whatsoever in the current age.

Especially one that has the turning circle of a small tug, and is slow.

It still amazes me that there are people out there that believe you need a big bloke upfront regardless of whether they can move about, are slow as fuck, and cant actually head the ball.

Its a local football disease. See it all the time, even in kids footy.

This board's been going too long. Too many people who think they know what someone else is saying (and not reading what they've actually posted) and too many who only want to say, 'I told you so'.

Good post Chip.
The form of those players that we all thought should have been scattered in the summer goes to show what a shambles the playing side of the club was in last season.
For me, IOR have struggled to understand the playing side. Who to back and who to believe. I still don't understand why they appointed Hughes then failed to back him.
Perhaps he wanted to chase Howard, Barron and Humphries to free up wages and bring better players in but was not allowed to. Just a guess mind.
But other than Hughes they have backed every manager they have appointed. Some successfully ( Turner, Cooper and hopefully CC) some unsuccessfully ( Scott, Cooper's second spell)
Add to that the best season ticket offer in English professional football (probably) and yet some still hark on about them.
It's great to see the feel good factor coming back to the club and let's face it, under IOR there has been more good times than bad.
Can't wait for tomorrow night.

Aye, it's a bit like family get-togethers, ain't it? The members are somehow locked into meeting up on a regular basis even though the chat usually consists of acting out tedious rivalries originating in the mists of time!

The fact that rings true for so many people and we only got relegated to another level of the football league sums up just how bad it was.

if mr fat man doesnt like the board he should either a - spit his dummy out and announce he's leaving or b - post more and stop being so pompus.

Why anyones a member of a board they dont like is beyond me.

Chip's long post there echoes the general views of the fans, I have little doubt about that. When I speak to folks about last season, and when I spoke to folks during last season, that is the general consensus

This season everyone is delighted at the style of football, the commitment and determaination and skill of the players, and even more delighted at the coaching and management ability being displayed by Messrs Cooper and Hignett

Fantastic stuff !!!!!!

I should be a bit less subtle. What I was saying was that however low the lows have been, IOR always seem to find a solution. OK, sometimes it's painful waiting, but eventually it seems they deliver.

I sometimes think that you have a marked disrespect for words, Spender. If there've been lots of lows and we've had to 'wait painfully' to be delivered, then this is not a case of someone's 'always seeming to find a solution.'

But, yes, OK, you're entitled to your opinion, even though in this case it can be shown to be erroneous by pointing to the facts.

But what I've always objected to is not people who have different opinions but people who try to stifle debate by going for the man and not his argument.
