It was all in a good cause, Dibble. You seemed to need a sedative and he happened to be on the spot. You'll thank me for it one day.

I stopped in a place next to Newport when we played at Cardiff called Pontypridd or it might have been Pontypool it deffo had a ponty in it anyway the place was practically closed ! Bank holiday weekend and you couldn't get a drink except for a boozer up a hill that was run by nufters for nufters and was rough as fuck

That would have been Pontypool, about 15 miles north of Newport, and your right an absolute shite hole! Not a lot of work up the valleys nowadays, hence the derelict shops and pubs, something similar as to what Newport is slowly turning into.
See you won again last weekend, and are probably the in-form side in the division now, so should make for an interesting game. Looks like whoever wins will be in one of the play-off places, so all to play for, and for all those coming have a safe journey down

PS Hows the resident fool dibbles? Has he been sectioned yet?

That's nice to know!

As you're the in-form side in league 2, and another good win in the fa cup Saturday, how many pools fans are expected to make the trip to rainy Newport Friday?

I can't see there being many Pools fans there at all, maybe not even three figures. Bloody rugby :(

I'd have thought you'd bring at least 150-200 as its a new ground, and you're on an excellent winning streak?

Got to agree with you about the game being switched for the egg chasers though, but should see a gate in excess of 3000 IMO. Going for a 2-1 win for the county, but it could go either way, with the way you're playing. Maybe jeff stelling will be in attendance.

Yep. we're having a horrendous run of bad luck regarding injuries, so you're definitely playing us at the right time, but we have got strength in depth so i'm still going for a 2-1 win, but then again I haven't got a Scooby about your side so fecks know who'll win, but we're a good side especially at fortress RP.

If he does go home disappointed, it'll wear off. But you support Newport so the disappointment never goes away.

Harsh Mr Snowy, very harsh.

Mr ncfc1 is quite sensitive and you may have just tipped him over the edge.

The town centre is only a 10 minutes or less from RP mate, with your traditional chippy, mcdonalds, burger and kebab shops etc.
You're spoilt for choice TBH, but got to say the grub in the ground aln't too bad and not a bad pint also!

Me and my old man stayed in Newport before the Play off final and had a decent night out.....can't remember any of the pubs names but some good ones.

We went to an Indian called Bombay Bicycle Club I think......seem to remember a lot of Elvis memorabilia.....Presley not Costello and a charismatic owner. Tidy!

Sounds like we've had a couple of good chances but got off the hook at other times. Hopefully we'll be able to get a goal early on.

Tonight was always going to tough they are very consistent at home and have plenty of momentum after promotion.

We've been going well lately but we're going to have downs as well as ups with an in the main inexperienced squad.

If we lose win the next one.

Correct PJ, not too down after 3 games in a week and a daft away trip for a Friday.

2-0 is a difficult lead anyway...
