Here is another example of lottery winners not being able to keep things quiet:

Like a lot arguments/heated discussion here the truth probably lies partly in both sides. Clearly some lottery winners have remained anonymous but the original thread asked why some people don't or choose not to. In this specific case of the £148 million winners undoubtedly they are going to be under more pressure to go to the pressure as such a vast win is international news, any lottery win is going to create local interest and gossip this is not a 'normal' win and obviously has a massive interest to the media. They'll have recieved phone calls and knocks and on door and probably felt as if the whole World knew anyway so we might as well get it out of the way. It would show strong character and will for someone not to crack under such pressure.

How many people in the uk have won in excess of 100m, can't be many and if 1 has remained silent then the percentage would be decent.

As ever, a lot of irrelevant words from Chip but no statement saying 'I was wrong'.

Long live the Bunker.

On an unrelated point, am I only going to get Super Stevie Howard texts off you during games where he actually scores ?

Sadly after your blatant lies denying you had said Howard was 'finished' and 'an elderly carthorse' I just don't think it's worth talking to you about Stevie Howard anymore. Sorry

:-D

Getting back to the Lottery, I know lass from Clowne in Derbyshire who won 6 mill about five years ago. I used to work with her at the music festivals. Just an ordinary lass with a bairn, struggling to buy a house with her boyfriend.

The amount of help she got from Camelot was fantastic, they guided her through every thing, gave her free investment advice which was very sensible, managed all the press interest and every thing. She lives over the road from Lee Westwood now.

So maybe it's just best to get all the shit out of the way, grow some big ears and listen to people who know what they're on about, talk to your relly's and go from there.

It's a thing that must take some getting used to.
