Let me put this Thread to bed....

If we got into the JPT Final The Colonel wouldn't go....unless he got a Freebie....I would reckon he would be in the Minority of Pools supporters!!!! confised

If we happened to be Non-League....God forbid....and we got to the FA Trophy Final....he definetly wouldn't go to Webley to watch and support Pools!!!! confised

Strange....but it's his choice!!!! confised

Fook me.

If we got to the final of the JPT I would get a freebie. And so would you.

I wouldnt go to Wembley and watch a non league Pools. And I would slaughter any of you that came back from said final and claimed it was the greatest day in our history**

** an attempt to get the thread back on its original track.

And you find it strange that I have a choice?

If we got them at home or away in the first round of the Fa cup, of course it would be our biggest game of the season. Darlo versus Pools will always be the biggest game of the season for me, because the derbies were brilliant games to go to. Its interesting that theres more threads on here started about Darlo, than there is about Pools on Uncovered. Personally, i miss the derby and hope they get back in the league because then there's more chance of us playing them.

THERE ARE 2 THREADS ABOUT DARLO, AND ONLY ONE OF THEM IS DIRECTLY ABOUT DARLOW ON THE FIRST PAGE.

Massive amount that like.

Yep, that just about sums it up.
For you perhaps, not for everybody.
Errrrrrrrrr.....................ok then. What have Darlington Fc got that you want?
I think you know the answer to that already.... abso-fookin-lutely nowt, they have nothing but memories of what it used to be like in the football league, but the point I'm trying to get over to you is summed up by the words of the song "Poolie till I die". You would probably sing it more like " Poolie till we're relegated"

Doesn't quite have the same ring does it Colonel?

I never said, ever, that we wouldnt want to win something. I wouldnt be interested in going though.........especially in the first season of going down, as I would expect it to be all hands to the pump to go straight back up, and not putting that to one side for a circus event at an empty stadium......... and I certainly wouldnt ever claim it could ever be our greatest achievement.

Your opening post asked if it was Darlo fans' greatest ever day supporting the club . . . for me it was, that one-off occasion, atmosphere, etc.

Now you've changed that to saying Darlo fans claimed it was the club's greatest achievement . . . well, all fans I know would say no . . . but winning the old Fourth Division Championship was for me.

You twist and turn, like a . . .

My opening post said that you lot were claiming it was your greatest ever achievement on your own board.......my question was, are you serious?

So I havent twisted and turned. The question has, and it wassnt me that turned it. What staggered me was the post that claimed winning the Jumpers for goalposts cup meant your name was written down in football history.

And you meant it, yes?

From your opening post:
"So tell me, after reading the above, Is winning the Jumpers for goalposts trophy, REALLY your greatest ever day supporting Darlo? Really? Are you all brand new?"

Says nothing about greatest achievement - you're twisting even more now

As for who won the FA Trophy in 2011, it'll always be in the history books - but as you can't read your own posts properly I guess this is difficult for you to grasp. The trophy sits nicely alongside the Conference and Division Four trophies.

A bit rich coming from someone whose team has come unstuck to non-league opposition more than once in recent years.
