Swindon - that's not a real club
Come back when you've won the Durham Senior Cup

Didnt Swindon cheat their way into the premiership or something or get points deducted for financial irregularities or fraud a few years back, around the Hoddle period. Can anyone supply the details? STFCeffindull?

they lost a game at Newcastle 5-0, when there were an unbelievable number of bets on that precise scoreline for that match
A lot of investigation proved a lot of links to that club but if I remember rightly, it wasn't the only example

I think when all is said and done, 269 fans for any away game is poor. However, as my fellow Town fan stated, we have already played Saints and Mk this month. We had you today and with Leeds and Colchester coming up away in the next 2 weeks, you will be hard pushed to find a single fan of any club who could afford all that. I for have a family to feed and that sure as hell comes way before making a 500+ mile round trip to a dump like Hartlepool. And I can bet that our "poultry" away support still made more noise than the home fans.

If Hartlepool is a 'dump', I dread to think what that makes Swindon, but I'll have a go

It is a cuntingdump and Mark Lamarr was born there

Dont forget it was twinned with Dinseyland, (but i think they now regret that as they didnt visit the place).

The woman who won the compertition sounds like a bit of a fool though:

"I think there are a lot of similarities between Swindon and Walt Disney World – the friendly atmosphere, the fact that there is always something new and exciting in the town and all the famous people we have coming to gig here."
