Should the game be replayed? No.

Should there be video technology introduced? maybe

Should Fifa come down hard on cheats and re-introduce honour back into the game? in my opinion yes

Will anything happen? Will it shite, Fifa will just bury their head in the sand yet again.

What Henry did was no more than a bookable offfence, people have been doing sly handballs to gain an advantage since the game began. Some of the stuff people have been saying about Henry today is total bollocks, he's not a cheat he did something in the spare of the moment which the officials failed to spot, part of the game get over it!!

I remember the first England game I ever went to, England V Brazil at Wembley in 1990, the Brazilian forward went round Chris Woods and shot only for Stuart Pearce to make a diving save. The ref gave a corner England won 1-0!!

So gaining an unfair advantage is not cheating and is part of the game. Can you point me to where it officially states that.

I'm anti technology and always will be. I like human error in the game and the debate that continues after a game. These things even themselves out over time and you have to take the rough with the smooth, France should have had a penalty shouldn't they? If there'd been technology at the game, it'd have probably finished 1-1 anyway.

Handball is in an infringement no different to a shirt pull, late tackle, or blocking someone off in the box. Part of the game.

Are they all cheating? How many times does a defender pull a strikers shirt out of view of the ref?? Where do you draw the line? Ultimately it's up the officials to make the correct decision, the reason that goal stood isn't because Henry is a cheat it's because the officials failed to identify what had happened.

I think handball is very different to a dive as well like Anelka had done five minutes before that is trying to deceive the ref, Henry didn't disguise the fact the ball had struck his hand he couldn't it was there for everyone to see. What was Henry then meant to do?? Stop the game and award a free kick to Ireland? Is that his job?

There is no specific comment on this incident, but i'm positive i have read several times before that Fifa believe that any rule changes have to be able to be rolled out of ALL levels of the game, from Amateur leagues to the very top.

Just a bit of fun really - something to cushion the blow of England's inevitable knockout.

I wonder if Platini would kick up a stink if it happened the other way round last night and RoI had scored in that situation to go through to the World Cup.

More waffle.
There is no evidence that this is FIFA's stance.

Shock horror...........I pass as much info as I dare to fellow Poolies, without getting anybody into trouble ( I hope ) and you compare it to making up FIFA'S stance on the use of technology.
I hope you didn't spend too much time thinking of that stirring reply. I must have hit a nerve.
