I'm sorry I could of sworn you posted that.....

Ps. Mr Green is the cheif executive, so he was mentioned.....

IOR have pumped over ten million pounds into Pools and people are questioning their management structure, I'm pretty sure they don't pay people for not doing a job. I happen to think Russ Green is a good bloke who works hard for the club and doesn't really deserve to get bollocks on a message board from people who don't have a clue what he does on a day to day basis....

Well he deals with errrm Sport (football matters for example) you know scouting players, dealing with contracts, overseeing youth development. Leaving the manager to manage the team.

Or do you want Russ Green to do that?

So what you are suggesting is when Danny Wilson was manager of Pools, Chris Turner and Russ Green were on a bit of skive?? Basically they had nothing to do. I'm sure they had a specific role the people owning Pools are not mugs who'd pay people good salaries to play solitaire.

Plus, the director of sport is managing the team!!!

I think he was appointed to oversee the sale of the ground too.

Well he's been in the role for years so you should know, you should also know the Director of Sport role wasn't an employee of Hartlepool United it was of IOR, he reported to Aberdeen. That was made clear when he got the job.

So I'd suggest they know what they can and can't afford.

The last time I checked he was still the Director of Sport, it's the manager who hasn't been replaced..... remember?? You know the whole point of the thread???

I won't hold my breath.

First of all, IOR decide who they are going to employ and what tasks these employees carry out.
Secondly, the Director Of sport is a direct employee of IOR and therefore is not a financial burden on the Football club.
Thirdly, if anybody is willing to pump the cash into the club that IOR pump in, then I'm sure that person or persons will be entitled to decide upon the management structure.
If IOR are happy to have the number of employees they currently employ and in the positions they fill, then he who pays the piper calls the tune.
All we can do is back the club with our hard earned, or not as the case may be.
From my perspective, if the performances carry on a la last Friday, then my hard earned will be getting more and more reluctant to leave my pocket.

I'm losing the will to live here, honestly.

It's a good job I haven't got a hand gun close by.

Because I'd shoot my monitor.

I spoke out aginst Turner being given the job on anything other than "caretaker", and 10 months down the line he is(IMHO) more than a caretaker, in everyone's eyes except the actual clubs hierarchy. Bringing in 12 players, a full team, plus, makes him the manager in my eyes.

I respect him for what he achieved in his first spell as manager, but pointed out, as other's did that most fans would not take to any other manager who came to Pools with a record of 1 win in 4 as he had at Sheff Wed and Stockport. Many fans on here and around the area who attended games were "blinkered" in their belief that he could recreate what he previously did here. Many of those seem to have changed their minds. The simple fact is that his 1 in 4 win ratio has slightly dropped and it's just below that now 11 wins in 43 with exactly twice as many defeats (22) and 10 draws. Now as I pointed out in a previous post some of them are cup games but if you take it as a league season we would have 43 points from 43 games. So 7 points, or maybe 3 wins needed from 3 games to avoid relegation.

On these stats ,and we can all use stats in our own favour, someone whether that IOR/ Hodcroft/or Turner needs to say we have to change, and Turner is left in charge for a few more weeks until a suitable candidate is found.

To me West would not be that candidate, who is, is another question.

I would look for an up and coming manager who wants to succeeds.

Im not going to throw names into the hat, as IOR have surprised us many times.

I said I would support Turner until we were in a relegation fight, its still to early to say we are but if his record continues as 1 in 4 or thereabouts, then in 8 games times we have won 2 lost 4( loses twice as many as wins as our manager) so we drew 2. A return of 8 points.

So played 20 points 21, that would probably put us in a relegation battle, and possibly a bottom 4 place. He would lose my support totally then.

I have to disagree 6 points after 12 games that means if things continue the way they are at the moment this will mean pools will be just under 23 points behind them by the end of the season.

personally I think we'll win 2-0 on Saturday - probably Boydy and Monkhouse with Monky getting booked afterwards for celebrating.

My last 3 visits to Swindon have seen two wins and a draw, and work commitments mean I won't be there this time so we are nailed on to win 2-0.

I love chris turner me like.
