Don't like to be pedantic like, (as in, 'I'm quite enjoying being pedantic') but John Wayne was never in fact a cowboy. As an actor he may have depicted the life style of an early american agricultural worker but never actually earned his crust by being employed in that role.

Well if we're being pedantic like, John Wayne never in fact existed. There was a bloke called Marian Morrison who used the soubriquet John Wayne because people used to point and laugh if he used his real name.

And he was in FACT 'Big Leggy.' :grin:
