There's a lot of crap being talked on the news about the King of Pop right now. The papers and telly have got a story to chew on about for the next day or two until the next 'significant' event comes around.

To put things into context, the reality is that the scribblers who think themselves in some way important have to justify their existence and are banging on about nothing as usual. Death like poverty and taxes is never far away, this is just another one along with the other 2million who will die today and really nothing to get excited about.

By the way....

Whats the difference between Michael Jackson and Alex Ferguson

Michael Jackson is dead.

Well, this death wasn't exactly expected was it - that's what makes it all the more shocking.

This heart attack seemed so sudden.

Like the people on University challenge they can tell you what key certain Mozart symphonies are written in and what philosopher died when a tortoise fell on his head but are thick as two short planks when it come to common sense.

A girl I went to uni with (who ended up getting a first in Law) blew up the microwave in halls in the first week as she was trying to boil an egg in it, her excuse was she had never boiled an egg before and didn’t know how to do it, I let her live it down though as she was fit and played a good tune on the flute.

More meeja extracts:

'Celebrities and stars around the globe have been paying tribute to pop icon Michael Jackson, praising his contributions to the world of music as they reeled from the news of his sudden death.'

Hypocritical ratbags........it's not long ago that they were calling him Wacko Jacko. At least they were being honest then.

It escapes me how any of this celebrity culture crap fools anybody.

It beggars belief that anyone could revere such a pathetic parody of a human. Away from music he was an disaster and a dangerous one at that; musically, he'd been squawking out one-note songs for the last 25 years.

On behalf of all like minded people, I'd like to applaud him for fooking off.

Now I'm off to learn how to moonwalk.

If everyone didn't give a damn that he had died, there wouldn't be radio stations playing his hits on the radio and round-the-clock news coverage.

I don't own a Michael Jackson album, but some people are saying that in terms of world history, this is as big as John Lennon or Elvis Presley dying tragically.

Breaking news; Michael Jackson's forthcoming dates have been cancelled. They were James (aged 9) and Thomas (aged 11) . Also, early reports stAted that MJ had tripped over a pram, causing the heart attack. Police say it's too early to blame it on the buggy. Indeed when the paramedics arrived and discovered that MJ's heart HD stopped asked adice on how to proceed. "Just beat it" was the predictable reply.

There are conflicting reports that on arrival paramedics found a child administering Cpr. He would have survived if the child had been blowing the right end.

I thank you, I'm here all week...
