showaddywaddy.

the novelty value lasted about 5 minutes. 10 minutes into their set the audience started to turn hostile. they carried on regardless.

geno washington and the ram jam band did something similar at the lyceum circa 1985. after about an hour i wanted to shoot mr washington in the face.

great venue the lyceum.

people are mourning the loss of the astoria, but it was/is a shithole.

Right!, see I've never heard of either Einsturzende Neubaten or showaddywaddy.

Changing tack a bit, did anyone go to Evolution yesterday? The bairn went and can't seem to decide to come home. I keep getting these phone calls....'I'm getting the 10 o'clock train'.....'I'm getting the 2 o'clock train'....'No, wait, it's the 3 o'clock train now.'

my eldest has also been gone 3 days. didnt come home sunday night. according to her mother she was camping at the festival. wheres the facility to camp on the quayside ?

There isn't - and the festival promotors do mention the fact on their promotional material. I stayed at the Travelodge, and that was heaving wth 15/16 year-olds. Many camped down on friends (who'd booked a room) bedroom floors.

How strange......

where did i say his music from 20 years ago wasnt relevant ? you would have a very hard job arguing that the smiths werent one of the most iconic, important, and influential bands of the modern era. you could argue the same for the sex pistols, but i have no particular desire to see rotten and co on stage in 2009 belting through anarchy in the uk.

as for his views on race and modern day britain and why he dislikes it so much, well his ( deliberatley ? ) controversial views were made very reccently . the nme, 28th november 2007 to be precise. but hey dont let the facts get in the way of another ( failed ) attempt at smugness mr spender.

Munch!!! rolfl rolfl rolfl

Talking of smug, who said I was talking to you?? sctatchinghead
