I never said "this bus drives itself" or in other words; "we do what we like and should a manager arrive who dares to force the issue then he gets stabbed in the back and outed" [See Newell & Cooper.]

Watson never came into contact with Neale Cooper.

Watson wasn't at all popular with the other players, apart from maybe a few of the impressionable younger ones.

All the players (especially the senior ones) got on really well with Mike Newell. I remember after we beat Luton 4-3 the season after he left him actually hugging the likes of Humphreys and Westwood on the pitch after the game. Hardly the way to react to people who 'outed you'.....
