Cooper's a legend for me too like.

Has anyone ever felt more proud to be a Pools fan, or looked forward to going to the match more than when Cooper was the manager???

Cos I haven't!!
Some of the games, some of the goals, it was unbelievable!

I totally agree with everything you've put there! It was very, very exciting going to see a Coopers Pools team. I always remember him doing that group huddle with everyone including him and his coaching staff at Bristol City, Great bloke and I also think the guys a legend!

I think it's pretty fair to say everyone, even now misterb after persuasion, reckons cooper is a legend at pools.

Top bloke.

Talbot was giving me abuse because I said the Mail compared Freestone and Jones to Baker and Allon.

And for the record I did not give any back

Billy Horner = Legend!

...and in their own sort of way Mick Docherty, John Duncan and Bob Moncur are legendary!

Neale Cooper had and made time for the fans making himself accessible with talk-ins and charity events etc....not like some managers I could mention.

I too concur that football under Neale Cooper was marvellous, because as has been said, he kicked every ball and every arse that lost on a Saturday. 'Tha' wisnae guid enough...' My favourite phrase.

I also saw nine of the ten aways we lost in succession, and his decision to show up at Wrexham in game eleven, twenty minutes before kick off, no warm up and a 5-2 win (MJ??) as the result was inspired.

Regrettably he was flawed as we all are, and I think we saw the best he had to offer.

But what a best that was. clappp clappp clappp

May well have been, that kid from Blackburn who later went to Birmingham and then Colchester, and scored against us in a defeat when we had that centre half from Newcastle playing 'cos Nelse got a head injury, scored his only goal for us.

Neil someone??

Follow my drift?? I should do the quiz for the Millhouse on a Saturday me!!

That's the feller!! I tell you he had some desire to play at Pools under Cooper but being from Blackburn I just think we never had the cash in the kitty.

I still think it was harsh when the Poolies boo-ed him at then of that Colchester game, he purposefully came over to applaud us, not take the piss.

Point being he was another Cooper find. With deference to to Tommy Miller Snr of course.

Steve Howey.

Got my aways at Colchester mixed up. It's Monkey and Mrs Harris's fault, they got me pissed before the game again, 'cos I stayed over and didn't have to drive. :uhoh: :uhoh:

aah...beer. It gets me confused as well. Although it's good at the time, so I have no intention of stopping swallowing beer at any time in the near future

I did, but I lost loads of weight and got food poisoning. Beer kills all known intestinal germs and is the perfect food.

Eight litres of water a day and most of your 'five-a-day' fruit and veg. Malt, hops, sugar, barley and carbon dioxide for your throughput. Plus all the exercise when you get in a pagger outside the pub. Also it makes fat ugly bewers look great.

Name me a better food than that??

Muesli???

Oh welcome to the board!!!

No-one ever got shagged on muesli.
