After that Bradford game the Loids were crowing about Burgmeier and I wasn't particularly impressed with him as a winger in open play. He didn't seem to have any pace or much skill just fantastic delivery from set pieces, which they've used to good effect.

Ronaldo, I've thought this for a while but you're a Loid!! If you aren't you're a very strange character as you've said more positive things about Darlo in that post than you ever have about Pools sctatchinghead

Our current team would be good enough to stay in L1.

Obviously our strikeforce of Foran and Hatch is loans but I reckon we'll sign them both in January. So yeah, we could hold our own.

Hereford lost their loan players, I don't see us losing ours other than Clarke who is currently injured anyway.

MK Dons, Peterborough and Stockport's teams are virtually the same as last seasons.

Your team was virtually the same after promotion as the team that went up.

Can I just ask where "Lampies" has come from?

I see Elvis referring to us as "Lampies" all of the time but it doesn't seem to be catching on.

Are they available on "frees" like?

If not, how much in terms of transfer fees do you think your chairman will be happy to pay out on them?

Will his value of them be influenced by whether he can set the installments up so that most of the money is due after he has bailed out?

Winning the 4th division really counts for nowt

But you would have taken a 4th division title if offered.

It may count for nowt according to you, but it counts as an "honour" in an honours list, and a "trophy" in a trophy cabinet.

I reckon we'll get Foran for next to nowt, if not nowt.

I also don't think Hatch will cost as much as people think.

If we don't get Hatch, then Penney will sort a replacement on a free.

Didn't Peterborough recently buy Hatch off Barnet for a good few quid?

You have to prove that you're good enough to get out of the fourth division those teams you mention in your other post all (like us) actually got promoted and earned the right to play in a higher league, I've seen Loids say how hypothetically good your team would be too many times, as it stands you only have four more points than Exeter City I'd hardly say promotion was nailed on, would you? It's only mid November the tables haven't properly even sorted themselves out yet.

The likes of Hatch and Foran are hardly league one players are they? There records don't suggest they are anyway.....

I still don't get it?

Is that a "Lampie" in the picture?

The trouble with spawning new names is that if the "victims" don't know what you're on about, its pointless.

Now I know what a Lampie is, it still means nowt. sctatchinghead

150k, but was it all up front or in installments? Nobody knows.

He's only played a handful of games, perhaps Posh have only paid the first 50k, he's not going to figure ahead of McLean or Mackail Smith and thats why they've loaned him out.

In that scenario, they would only be looking to recoup their initial outlay.

But surely unless the instalments are appearance or goal based then it would be payable on the due date whether they had since sold him on or not?

Well seeing as though we are down here anyway, if theres a trophy at the end of this season, I wouldn't pass.

How would you cope if we came up? All of the years of dominance over us (in your head) would count for natch as we'd be in the same foooking league! "8 years and counting"..."but yeah, we're both in L1, what good did it do you? Oh and we won ANOTHER trophy! Something you didn't do in those years"

Must be a nightmare thought for one as insecure as you.

How could Peterborough pay Barnet for appearances not made or goals not scored? There is no due date on appearances. How long is a piece of string.

No point discussing it anyway, because its just a theory not a fact. They might well have paid 150k up front, and in that case we've no chance.

Foran scored goals in the SPL. Hatch has rarely played in L1 so he'd have to prove himself at that level. Doesn't mean he can't though.

If track record is what you are looking for, most of our players have played in spells in L1 and done well enough.

Personally I think he'd do well in this league. I certainly wouldn't be upset if Pools went for him as their big centre forward in the squad assuming that Barker has gone for good and Kyle is out of our price range.

Foran scored goals in the SPL.

So has Jon Daly!

The reason they are both with you is because they can't get a game..... in league one.

Is it true that some sections of the Echo chamber were chanting 'Penney Out' on Saturday   I think if that happened at the Vic they'd get beaten up!

At the end of the day, if we go up we are going to end up with a few players that turn out to be not good enough for L1.

But I think we'd be good enough to hold our own with the current overall squad, I never said if we went up that we'd win the thing.

Must say, Hatch played against pools at Barnet a few years back. Similar in stature to Stevie Howard as I remember but played in central midfield. I thought he looked class  albeit in league 2 bbolt
