Yet he is one of the quickest in the squad, when they had that Team Mates bit on Poolsworld nearly every player said it was either him or Matty Robson who was the fastest player. Obviously he just needs to learn how to use it more effectively.

Well Saturday is the only time I've seen him play. I did say in another post that I'll allow for the possibility he had an off day, but Mr Sisters is absolutely right. He was pretty much AWOL for the whole of the 70-80 minutes he was on.

But didn't Mr Moore, Ronnie of that ilk, say the only two players who performed for him were his centre backs??

True enough, PoolieK, the two big lads at the back for Tranmere had an impressive game and were the only impressive part of Tranmere Rovers (or indeed Birkenhead, the shopping centre of which was like Chavland). But if you can't go through them, go round them. Joel managed it several times, but I didn't see much progress from Michael 'Still Learning' McKay.

McKay is still learning and will improve, but despite all his enthusiasm he is still very "raw" even after being at the club for several months. He's 24, not a kid, and I still wonder if he will be able to improve enough to be a valuable member of the squad at this level of football.

Sometimes that naivete can work for you because it hasn't been coached out of you.

How many really great looking footballers are sterilised by coaches before they're 20?? He's still in 'give it a bang' mode instead of 'play your team-mate in' mode because he's thrilled at playing in front of 6,000 instead of 60, and whilst that will only last for so long , he's still scoring the odd daft goal.

Can you write that on a corner of a postage stamp?? sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

I can shorten it if you've got cramp like....
