First goal would have be one from Jessy Road bout 1974- seem to remember a hat trick a piece for myself and Ste Anderson against Barnard Grove with us winning 4.3.

A genius on the pitch was Mr Trapper - one of many hat tricks no doubt - must sort that photo out and send it your way.

Kind words Katcha-looking forward to seeing that pic-or am I :uhoh:

As for the daughters-don't tell our lass - she thinks I only have 2 boys

Am I the only one on here who never scored a goal for anyone? Not that I can remember anyway. Probably due to the fact that I usually played in goal, or just in kickabouts on the Town Moor, until it was too dark too see.
Going to a Rugby playing Grammar School probably didn't help. If I managed to avoid being picked for the 15 a side sport in P.E., which I usually did, then the leftovers either played football or shinty.

Must be the reason I go along to all of my youngest games now, to try and get the reflected glory from his silky skills. :uhoh:

Can't remember my first goal, but I remember skying it over the steel netting loads at Grange, and it bouncing off Mr. Rumble's car...

52, lived there from being 3 years old, until around '68. Lived in Commercial Street around the back of the Palladium. Then we moved up to the Central, just behind the Queen, and right next door to Poolymad.

is no-one familiar with the footballing terms "tutty-bunt"

or "shin-roller"

a shin-roller is the most comical of footballing techniques

Mr Head was Colette his sister or sister in law. I think that she used to work in Gillens on York Road when I had my paper round there

Not hard to deduce Mr Fens: Colette is a very French name. Apart from which I believe she was already called Colette Berthou at a very early age

There is another Berthou brother however. I can't remember his name though. Prolly Jean Jacques or summat.

Oh you'll see the pic sooner than you think Mr Trapper.

Got to tidy my shoit out this weekend so.....watch this space.

My first goal was for jessy in 78 against west view a curling free kick from outside the box - at grays kicking into the poplars one the pitch near the tennis courts.

I am possibly one of the few players to score during a conference game.

Pools at spotland one saturday, match postponed when we were on tees flyover so half pissed already we cracked on to get to everton newcastle - stopped for a drink and ended up sacking that idea and went to altrincham gateshead.

One plod in ground only and there was some young uns kicking a footy around on the terrace so we took the ball and and had our own half time penalty comp - i scored a beauty and half a photo but cannot display it as i was wearing what appears to be a reebok shell suit.... :uhoh:
