Now about that Alpine thingy in my glove box, anybody got any ideas what it is / does? sctatchinghead

no mention in the handbook of the car what this unit is for?
could the previous owner have removed the screen
what sort of motor is it?

It's an A4, not had time to read the handbook yet.

It came via Tyneside Audi so there is every chance that the previous owner was a thieving gypo and has had the screen away. sadx

What you think Timmy?

Another thing that is a plus for Sat Nav's is Speed Camera Database, Which if you dont know the area can be very useful indeed, Obviously you should be able to see a Speed Camera from a mile away, But some people are daft enough not to

Just got a Nokia N95, Installed Tom Tom Mobile onto it and bought a GPS Receiever, So Sat Nav costing me a total of £20 (Plus obviously my monthly Mobile Bill) is pretty damn decent clappp

Aint had chance to try it yet  but it looks easy enough to use. Nokia N95 was tempted to get one of those when i got me contract phone last year but the battery life put me off. Will try the Sat Nav next week

Never been interested in satnavs and would never get one. But that's just my personal choice. I wouldn't slag any one else off for having one as I see that they have their benefits, but I prefer to look at a map.
My Dad has a good one. He used it to get to a remote town in Northern Germany and it got him all the way there without any hiccups.
