4-1 win for the rafa on sunday.

our 3rd goal was our 100th in the league this season, not a bad record

Not bad at all! Once you start believing your own hype though, a first defeat won't be far away, keep your players feet on the ground.

Not many games on today, I was on our pitch at 9 this morning sweeping the puddles off n it seemed to work.

2 nil victory anyway.,

Not likely, some are playable, some arent, its always down to the refs, some are more stricter than others with regards to whats playable and whats not.

our game was on last week n there was water on the pitch, ref just wasnt as fussed.

Would rather council carried on leaving decision to refs instead of just cancelling every pitch, as Yubep says at least you might have a chance of a game that way. Especially if you have people who'll put a bit of effort in helping clear a few puddles although the wind should help with that this week.

it certainly made a difference last week, i was the only one out early doors sweeping the pitch of the majority of surface water n it was the only game to go ahead of greys, it can be done lads, just get out early n have a sweep n a fork.

Think if a ref sees someone from the teams out on the pitch sweeping water off the pitch, they will be inclined to give the game the go ahead, I would of.In contrast I have come across teams who didn't fancy it and would try and convince me pitch was unfit and to call it off, even though pitch was playable.

I've passed the club over to one of the other lads, lost a lot of interest in the managing side of things in recent months and all the chew with the FA and club suspension didn't help. A hell of a lot of work is involved for very little return, I wish the Pearl Bar lads the best of luck, got a decent bunch of lads on their day. Probably going to look at playing again next season.

Good 1-1 draw for your lads against seaton sunday, does us a few favours too, always happens after a manager leaves that, get a good result.

Windy as fook yesterday morning, terrible game.

Beat the glass on penalties 5-4 after 120 mins of windy as fook footy.

At one point the glass had a shot from the edge of our box, it went up into the air over his head over everyones head n back to his own keeper, you after laugh.

Refs hate them conditions, one in a million scenarios that make or break you. Especially galling when a ref has the decency to play a game without corner flags and the players give you pelters for being indecisive on ins and outs. Shi* happens and I am glad I am out of it.

Awful conditions, never seen a match played in wind like that!

Another referee assaulted by a player a few weeks ago, I know Alvin has his critics but I don't think he deserves that.

It's hard enough to get refs as it is, we've had 2 games called off this season for ref shortages, if people aren't careful we wont have any.

In a nutshell

Awarded a penalty, lad abused him saying it wasn't a penalty, sent him off, attacked him.

Only managed about 120 this season mate I can't promise goals but you'll see good footy. Decent side Seaton too so should be a good contest.

Routine win for you lads i thought. Seaton didn't have much going for them and your lads strolled through it. Also got the added bonus of a shoot out between rovers and ath on the pitch next to you.

What did you think of the Ath's 2nd penalty which basically lost it for us?

Rovers gave it away in the 90mins with sloppy goals 2nd half but to be fair the lads up front for ath got them back in the game then goes and does that in the penalty shoot out. Aths keeper a bit quiet in shoot out were Rovers was trying to get into the takers head. It worked in the end even taking his gloves off to save the final penalty.
