Towards the end of my second season I kept losing or drawing, so i went from being 9 points clear at the top to finishing 4th. Same happened in my first season, I think I need to mix up my tactics.

Maybe your players arent big game players and cant handle the pressure when the season gets towards its climax? I found a big difference when I got a few players in with experience and good leadership stats. An area the starting squad is majorly lacking in.

Good point, I have a very young squad with an average age of about 22. I'll bring some experience in, can't see me getting promoted again like.

I started really well in Championship. Then Carroll got injured and I have no other left back so went 3-5-2 for first time. Lost at home to Huddersfield 7 (Seven) - 1. All gone a bit downhill since then and board wouldnt give me an extra few quid for wages to bring Kavanagh in.

The in game software works out how to beat you if you use the same formation. I've made about 10 on this game.

Keep Fewster, his current ability is now 4 and a half stars on mine. Loves a bit of praise like.

I brough a few CBs in but Nsiala keeps outperforming them all.

Think for Championship season I brought in:

Jake Wright
Jacob Mellis
Michael Cain
Nemane (from Man City)

Unbeaten in pre-season, but now 41 players have less than a year on their contract. Do I re-sign all , some or wait?

Also getting loads of injuries too!

Well after a 17th place finish in first season in Championship, im somehow sat 2nd after 18 games and just beat the League leaders at their place.

Partnered Fewster with Kenneth Zohore. Big Ivorian target man who basically seems to play a hand in every goal. Change formation nearly every game now depending on opponent and its working well.

Paul Digby is a quality player and Prem clubs all sniffing about.

After playing attacking 442 in all pre season friendlies and winning, Fleming told me to play 4411 and be more cautious in the first game. We got beat 2-0. Ready for a League Cup Match and Fleming is telling me to go 4411 defensive again! I think I'll go back attacking 442 and see what happens.

Next question, I've brought in 9 new free/loan signings, all youngsters. In earlier versions youngsters always played well and developed. Is it the same in FM17?

My signings in my third season, still got Brad Walker, Carson (Backup), Carroll, Toto, Harrison (Backup) and Thomas (Backup) from the original team. 14th in Championship, P12 W4 D3 L5. Fewster banging them in for fun still, 9 in 12 so far.

I know this is a computer game, but I really should have added my manager name as Hignett; as I now feel Empathy for him; it won't be long til the pack of Wolves (AKA fans) start howling discouragement and discontentment! I will bring in young uns (a la Hignett) and FCUK FFP( the board won't let me do this last part)!

Mr Tree & Mr Mac et al; whilst the transfer window is still open can I please cheat to get rid of the deadwood and bring in some new talent (making the club a hefty profit [FFP and all])?

This is too real. I fear I could be sacked, already!!!

You really don't need money to get out of League 2 or 1 to be honest. Don't believe I paid a single transfer fee. Ship some players out for free (Paynter, Woods etc) and get free transfers and loans.

Yubep your league table is so similar to mine. Started like a house on fire, sat in 2nd after 25 games but form is stuttering and when I do win, I only just scrape it. Don't feel confident at all and goals are drying up.

Come March time my players seem to just freeze. Striker stood scoring. Defenders forget how to defend.

No money to really replace everyone in the summer n without the Bosman ruling it's hard to poach new players.

I'm 4th but I'm clinging on. 5 games left

Getting out of league two is a piece of piss and no need to cheat, I didn't spend a penny of transfer fees and all were either free signings or loans. It's all about tactis with FM17, are you giving team instructions/player instructions? Making sure players are played in the right role? Might be worth downloading some pre made tactics. Best formation I thought for league two was 4-3-2-1 with a DM.

Same happened for league two and league one, was absolutely flying then my team just gave up. Had a chance to get automatic promotion but lost 4-0 at home to a 16th placed Oldham, scraped through the play offs with 1-0 in all legs inc the final. Currently 15th in Championship, probably a mid table finish this season.

I'm currently 3rd. Got lucky in the free transfer/loan department. Well within FFP and have cover in every position as well as a few young Hot Prospects. My biggest transfer was for a Head of Sport Science (or something) from Aldershot!

I scraped past them on penalties after both games finished 2-1 to away side.

Got Derby in final but left that for when I get in from work.

Yeah, iv started listening to my assistants reccomendation for formation and strategies etc a bit more recently. Seems to have brought about a big improvement.

To be honest I fucked up after we won second leg. Sammut got sent off again (he got 19 cards previous season and on 22 for this season) so I fined him and a few players were unhappy (even tho Sammut accepted it!) So morale has taken a hit and im missing my best CDM. No matter how much I warn him he wont stop being a dirty bastard.
