Mr West Park, how many out of ten would you give that album? I'm thinking of getting it. They're at the top of my list to see at the End of the Road festival in September along with Goat.

There's not many live sets worth watching on YouTube but Goat's are an exception.

It's by far my favourite album this year - such good fun and has me grinning ear to ear every time I hear it. As for the scores on the doors, I'd give it an 8 and a half out of 10.

Best played very loud in the car album for a while. Doesn't help with avoiding speeding but you can always turn to Brian Eno if you want traffic calming music.

Neptune by Higher Authorities. Sort of relaxed psych played on old instruments and then sprinkled with sonic magic dust by Adrian Sherwood. Not really like anything else but not willfully obscure either. Best record with syndrums on it I've heard for many years.

Been listening to an album by Kiki Hitomi a lot. She's the woman from King Midas Sound. It mixes Japanese 60s pop with modern dub and on this track there are guest vocals from Space Ape. Not sure what she was up to on the cover but it looks painful.

Oo, interesting. I had no idea that an album was planned, never mind released. Will dig out...

It's on Jahtari and I don't think The Bug had any input but I've grown to really like it after a few listens.

MadJohn I think I remember you saying that Dry The River's The Chambers & The Valves was over produced on the album Shallow Bed....I've just got the full album Acoustic.....it's superb!!!!

Love Bomb Letters by Andres Loo. Got a great single by him so I had a look for an album and found this. Quite old and a bit odd but you can download it free on Bandcamp. Slightly dubby electronic business with some Estonian folk and iffy singing mixed in.
