Using that argument then, did Raj single handedly get us promoted?

Fingers crossed its true, We all know what that vindictive twat is all about!

Unfortunately don't think this is the case. The kit and academy deals would've taken a while to sort etc. so unless the deals been agreed since before the 26th March, when the academy restructure was announced, I think it's someone putting 2+2 together and getting 5.

you could be right and so could i, Offers were accepted 6 weeks ago (according to the club) and that was last week or the week before, so maybe at least another couple of weeks before talks were in progress.
Funny thing is out of the blue Raj suddenly pops up with i,m jacking it in on the 6th May.

And of course we know for certain Shelly was in the Town on Tuesday gone.

I seem to agree with PTID for once on this. Raj hasn't done a good job connecting with the fans, has either been advised or mades ome terrible choices but last summer everyone was saying how much they liked Sarll in pre season and on interviews. We signed some decent players and the mod was decent for a while until Sarlls bootball didn't work. Im certainly not looking to defend Raj but the players and coach merry go round over the past few years hasn't woked out. Im sure he didnt plan for it to be that way. He is in the top job at the club and yes ultimately failed but there has been lots of failures during his time. Askey, Sarl, etc etc etc etc etc etc

Hopefully the takeover happens, place needs some fresh paint

He employed the man who did, he couldn’t, he’s not a manager…but employed far more who couldn’t….and didn’t.
He picked a good un…but couldn’t keep him, then it all went tits up.

If you employed someone to choose a car for you to drive and 9 out of 10 o those cars failed to meet your requirements…you’d realise he was poor at picking cars….or even managers.

Raj Singh saved the club when no one else would For that I am grateful as I certainly don't want a phoenix club. However, he has made so many poor footballing decisions that his legacy to me will be going from that good first season in the Football League and a £800000 profit to relegation the following season. To not to capialise on the feelgood factor after that Rotherham game was criminal.

Will the announcement be about a possible announcement or will it be an announcement about future announcements whilst or not making an announcement or will they be making announcement that they cannot make any announcement until the announcement is finalised. sctatchinghead

May be in the centre circle(HT entertainment) with Raj next in line.
Should put a couple of 1000s on the gate.

Going out on a limb here, based on stuff I’ve heard and a bit of appreciation about how these things work… I actually don’t think the OP is far off on this occasion. I’m feeling pretty optimistic that the end of the Raj is close.
That’s said, Raj is Raj and could do anything but I think he’s close to being probably the first owner of the club to actually sell it for anything significant.

Also, it makes me laugh that some people get pelters for spouting nonsense (and mostly deserved) when other people say stuff all the time with total confidence and it’s never checked later. It seems that whether people believe you or not is mostly down to a bit of bravado! Ha.

Young Stello keepa telling us we have the core of a good team.
I just really struggling to see it proplems all over the pitch.

As for the new ownership agenda it's fair to say no bunkerite has inside info.
PnB majorly moved the goalposts.

Not sure it's legal to adopt your younger brother, unless he's under the age of 18 and both your parents have shuffled off already bbolt

Reasonable argument ran out, so let's start the old "he must have links to Raj shite". Mikey is right there's loads of shite posted in here.
Look back at articles from Mr Walter Mitty Shithead on the recruitment of Sarll, and those from Lennie after the sacking of Sarll, which pretty much state they played major parts in recruitment of managers. In fact Lennie publicly says he gave himself the job as he deemed himself the best candidate. These articles suggest that Raj was taking a more hands off approach to football matters.
If Raj is 100% responsible for everything bad at the club, he must also have been 100% responsible for the Cup runs and promotions. We all know neither is true. Challinor was a massive factor in promotion, Sarll and Lennie have been a significant reason for this pass poor season.

thing is he is right. all you can really discuss is the actual size of that core. a big proof of this is where the players out of contract end up who the club does not want or they refuse a new contract.

that could happen with the gate without that if the club kept tight lipped about the new owners but said they would be releved at half time to the fans.

The whole place needs to be turned upside down, we're like a rubbish version of Gateshead who have change of owners, players, and managers but things stay pretty much constant in terms of footballing achievement. We do exactly the same, the difference is their constant is decent and our constant is woeful.

Trouble is will AL get a chance to prove his worth.
To be honest i think with the right players HIS brand of football would work.

I agree, I'd give him a go at signing his own players. Can't be any worse than Hartley and Snarl- granted that's a low bar!

Going to reply one last time.
He was supposed to have stepped back after relegation and wouldn't be involved in the day to day running of the club but yet Askey and Phillips referred constantly to support from the chairman and having regular conversations with him. Again this summer, after stepping back (from not being involved in the day to day running of the club to...?) he appointed theinterim board. Yet Sarll and Lawrence still mentioned him and his support regularly. Lawrence said himself, before he was appointed, that he would be making his recommendations to the chairman of who the next manager should be. Raj has been involved in all of the appointments, yes he will have listened to his advisors etc., but ultimately he has the final say.
No one is saying Raj is entirely culpable for everything that goes on. He doesn't find the players, who have been underpar, but he does hire the people who do that, provide the budget for the players and also takes part in the negotiations. We know he does this because of quotes from Graham Lee, when he talked about panic in the jan window, Dave Challinor, who mentioned that Raj changed loan terms for George Miller at the last minute which ultimately led to the bid being rejected after the player was on his way for a medical.
We also know he doesn't train the players or set them up tactically for games, but he does hire the people who do this, and then sack them pretty shortly after. He does deserve credit for hiring Dave Challinor and providing the backing to bring in Sterry and Armstrong etc., but we also know how he withheld promised playing budget from him in the summer after promotion and if we had failed to get promotion the budget would've been cut significantly (this is all out there in quotes from Raj himself).
So yes, others have played their part in where we are currently but the majority of responsibility and fault lies at the feet of Raj Singh and you don't seem to want to accept that.

True.
If you head a company you have to be ‘hands on’…it’s your money.
But any organisation succeeds on the work the employees do, and those leaders in the work force are the owners responsibility.

I've never claimed Raj shouldn't be blamed and most of what Krampesh says is on the money a d totally aligned to what I actually said. Raj did not get us into our present situation single handedly which is what I disputed decades ago in this thread.

And finally, I'd just like to re-iterate I have zero links to Raj and never have, I've never even spoken to him.

And for future reference, I do not know any of the potential future buyers or have any links with them - ust for when I disagree with anyone in future about our next owners!

With the amount of effort you've put in over the years desperately trying to defend Raj, I think you should go into public relations. You're results are a questionable but you certainly put the graft in
